ROM Flashing Guide :

1. Wipe all 5 partitions , don't wipe vendor if flashing ROM based on same vendor.

2. Reboot to recovery (important).

3. Flash the appropriate vendor , if wiped vendor.

4. Flash the ROM , Gapps (optional).

5. Flash permissiver. (If mentioned in the Rom post)

5'. Flash DFE and format data. [ Optional step to remove force encryption in fbe rom]

6. Try booting the device (reboot to system).

FORMAT DATA IF ROM DOESN'T BOOT.

📍 NOTE :
- Flashing ROM is generally same for most of the ROMs , exceptions are mentioned in that ROM post itself.

- Use A29 (Realme 5,5s)/ A20 (Realme 5i) for pie vendor based ROMs.

- Use the latest Rui vendor/specified vendor for A10 vendor based ROMs .

Hide magisk
Rename magisk package name, if still failing then Flash this module in magisk and reboot and check safetynet

Flashing OSS/Custom vendor based ROMs -

#OSS

If you are using a realme ui vendor (C.xx) based ROM or an OSS vendor ROM or you are already in stock Realme UI then follow below steps to flash oss/custom vendor ROMs

📌 STEPS:

- Wipe 5 (system, dalvik, cache, vendor, data)
- Flash ROM
- Flash vbmeta-disabler
(No need to flash if you flashed vbmeta disabler while flashing stock rom or you are coming from another oss based rom)
- Flash Magisk (optional)
- Flash GAPPS (If not included)
- Reboot

Format data if doesn't boot

If you are using COS(A.xx) vendor based ROM or stock COS Rom then follow below steps to flash oss/custom vendor based ROMs

📌 STEPS:

- Wipe 5 (system, dalvik, cache, vendor, data)
- Flash Firmware zip
- Flash ROM
- Flash vbmeta-disabler
- Flash Gapps (if not included)
- Flash Magisk (optional)
- For 5i users only :
• Flash any A10 recovery
- Reboot

Format data if doesn't boot

📍 NOTE: DO NOT FLASH REALME UI VENDOR THEN SWITCH TO OSS BUILD, IT WON'T WORK You have to flash Realme UI or Flash RUI Firmware

📌 Follow this :

- Find your device’s GSF Device-ID using device ID app .. click here to download it

- Open the app and copy the code in the second line called “Google Service Framework (GSF).”


- Go to this webpage- https://www.google.com/android/uncertified/

- Login
Then Enter your GSF Device-ID in the “Android ID” box.

- After you tap “Register”, your registered ID should appear on the page.

- Reboot your device and try to login in play store again.

If that command fails for some reason use this -

💻 "fastboot flash --disable-verity --disable-verification vbmeta vbmeta.img"

📍 Flashable vbmeta(vbmeta disabler) can be directly flashed from recovery

Common Bug Fixes -

1. Aux fix module (Not needed in OSS ROMs)

Probable obb issue fix -

In Android 11 GSI/ROMs on some devices users have issue when Android/obb folder is not visible/available (Can't install apps with obb content from Play Store)

📌 To solve this problem a probable solution is:

- Reboot to recovery
- Mount system
- Go to file manager in recovery
- Remove migrate_legacy_obb_data.sh file in /system/bin/
- After reboot obb folder should be accessible

📌 When to use?
-> If you messed up and now stuck on fastboot mode and cannot go to recovery or system.
-> When your device is automatically rebooting to fastboot every 10-15 seconds.
-> Can also be used if you get a boot destroyed screen on trying to reboot to system and recovery.
