You know you could have harmed them for their insults ,you know you could have given a befitting reply. But you also knew that arguing with a pig only makes you dirty.
Having the ability to harm and still not doing it ,dosent make you look weak. It makes you more powerful.
It shows them being insignificant for your attention and reply. Makes them agitate more.
they may seem satisfied at first ,even happy, after insulting you..but anger is gate to hell. Acting on anger only comes back to bite the person.
Silence in response to irrational burst of anger and insult , is the best way to tackle an immature person.
A person insults others to feel sense of power, its innate sense of insecurity that brings this attitude , it shows their weakness of character and false sense of superiority, never insult or abuse others.

If you are incapable of violence ,not being violent isnt a virtue.
Capacity for danger and capacity for control is what bringa about true virtue, otherwise you confuse weakness with moral virtue.

”The man who is incapable of experiencing or enduring tragedy can never be a figure of world significance. He cannot make history unless he experiences it as it really is—tragic, permeated by destiny, and in consequence meaningless, aimless, and unmoral in the eyes of the worshippers of utility. It marks the parting of the ways between the superior and the subordinate ethos of human existence. The individual's life is of importance to none, besides himself: the point is whether he wishes to escape from history or give his life for it.”
