Actually, Dead Letter Box is a secret place or box which was earlier used by spies or people of the intelligence department to send things or information. Due to this, there was no direct meeting between them, secrecy was maintained and the risk of getting caught was reduced. In Punjab, terrorists sitting abroad are luring the youth into crimes by using this very old method of spying and money and weapons are hidden in a box, street corner, crack in a tree or a deserted place.

➡️Interrogation of recently arrested terrorists and gangsters has revealed that they are using the 'dead letter box' method. The accused tell the youth the 'landmark' of the place through social media so that they can take the goods from there. In this method, terrorists use those youth who are unemployed and want to earn quick money.

In 27 incidents in various parts of Punjab in one and a half years, terrorists have used the dead letter box technique to target poor and innocent youth.
