🤪🔥Tensions between the Naga (Tangkhul) and Kuki communities have escalated sharply in Litan Sikibung and Litan Sareikhong villages, Ukhrul district, Manipur.

⚠️Following the 7 February assault on Tangkhul Naga youth Starling over a torchlight incident; failure to hand over the culprits led to clashes, and reports now say houses belonging to both communities are being set on fire by each other, making the situation highly tense and volatile.

🇮🇳 🚒 Heavy security forces have been deployed in Litan, Ukhrul district of Manipur, as tensions continue between the Kuki and Naga (Tangkhul) communities;

⚠️ Curfew has been imposed in Ukhrul district, fire brigade teams are dousing fires, and many Tangkhul Naga traders have fled and are stranded at the 🇮🇳Assam Rifles Gate in Nambisha, Kamjong district Manipur.
