Statement I
Let Breadth of cuboid B is 3U
So, 3U * 5 + 5 * 8 + 8 * 3U = 158/2 = 79
Or, 39U = 79 – 40
Or, U = 1
Length, breadth, height of cuboid B is 5, 3, 8
respectively and breadth of cuboid A is 2 and
height and length of cuboid A is 3v and 2v
respectively.
So, we can calculate the volume of cuboid B i.e.,
5 * 3 * 8 = 120 but cannot calculate the volume
of cuboid A.
Statement II
Total surface area of cuboid A is 88. But we
cannot calculate individual volume from it.
From both statements,
1st statement we get, breadth of cuboid A is 2
and height and length of cuboid A is 3v and 2v
respectively
So, we can say, 2 * (2 * 3v + 3v * 2v + 2v * 2) =
88
From this we get v = 2.
So, volume cuboid A = (2 * 2) * 2 * (3 * 2) = 48
Required difference = 120 – 48 = 72
So, using two statements we get the answer. (C)

Age of E = x + 5, age of B = x + 5 – 14 = x - 9,
age of C = x – 9 + 2 = x - 7, age of A = x – 7 + 2
= x - 5
So, we cannot calculate the age of A.
Statement II
The Ages of B and C are 8j and 9j.
Age of D = 9j + 7
Age of E = [9j + 7] * 6/5
So, we can say, [9j + 7] * 6/5 - 9j = 12
From this we get value j, from value j we
calculate age of E and C, from that we can
calculate age of A.

B is 20. So, milk in A can be more or less. From
the statement we cannot calculate the amount of
milk in mixture A because there is no direct data

Let the speed of stream river P = x, speed of
stream river S = x + 3.
But we cannot calculate the time taken by boat

Or, p = 16/2 = 8
Speed of stream in river S = 8
