It's time Exam Conducting Authorities must realize that setting ambiguous Questions/options is a useless effort to control high cut offs.

DEGRADING EXAM LEVEL IS A MAJOR CONCERN. While Bank PO final cut offs are at 50% (because of Good Exam level), SSC cut offs are crossing 85%. Even, Questions asked in Railway Exams now have a better level compared to SSC.

If anything demands a protest, it's this very issue of Exam level being too easy.

Post wise Cut off

Ranks in 20th January shift for some candidates are better than expected..

Vice versa case for 18th January shift..

You are seeing sky high cut offs because of increase of 25-30 marks.

This increase doesn't mean that normalisation has benefitted 20 Jan shift, it means that some answers have also changed in final answer key, causing this increase.

Possible reasons for this: -

1. Section Wise Normalisation.

Those people who had scored lesser marks in section-1 (150-160 around) but had higher in Section-2, might had suffered loss in section-1 normalisation, as we have seen that when paper is easy, normalisation can become negative too. When everyone is getting 160+ in section-1 (Easy section), then someone with 172 might get +15 in section-1 but someone with 160 might have got no increase in marks as the average marks itself is high. Since section-2 bcz of GK had lower average score, normalisation behaved normally in that and everyone might have got similar increase. This could have led to someone with 318 (with higher section-1 score) get ahead of someone with 325 (with lesser section-1 score).

2. Changes in final answer key.

Answers of as many as 4-5 Questions, could have been changed or bonus might have been given, causing this shift.
