On 1st-2nd December CAE Technology Inc. (QForm UK distributor in Korea) was take a part in the seminar of the Korean Society of Plasticity Engineering which was held in Jeju Island. We were glad to participated in the exhibition and represent QForm UK software to scientific society.

JOIN THE INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS OLYMPIAD ON METAL FORMING TECHNOLOGIES
For more than 10 years QForm Group has been holding the International Students Olympiad in Hot Bulk Forging and Extrusion Technologies. The winners are awarded valuable prizes. 30+ leading universities take part in the Olympiad, among them: Budapest University of Technology and Economics (Hungary), Shanghai Jiaotong University (China), University of Belgrade (Serbia), Technical University of Sofia (Bulgaria), University of Stuttgart (Germany).
❗️Universities which are taking part in the Olympiad could get a QForm academic license by request to practice before the Olympiad.
The Olympiad is a great way to attract attention to mechanical engineering technologies and simulation, to motivate to acquire new knowledge and skills.
✅Checklist for participation in the Olympiad:
For Universities:
📌A person who is appointed as a coordinator should send an email with contacts to market@qform3d.com
📌Lists of three students who will participate in the Olympiad have to be approved (by personal recommendation or internal university competition)
📌Students have to arrive at their assigned classroom on the appointed day
📌Select the best work and send it to the International Scientific Committee
For Students:
📌Contact the faculty representatives and ask them to write to us at market@qform3d.com. We will send all the necessary information about the organization.

This year the traditional Yearly Meeting of the Cold Forging Industry, organized by VDI German Engineers Association, took place again. About 110 participants exchanged information about the whole spectrum of cold forging topics in presentations and in an industrial exhibition. German QForm UK distributor, prosimalys GmbH, was on-site: on the one hand a presentation together with two satisfied users of QForm UK was given, on the other hand a booth in the exhibition drew numerous visitors and led to a number of interesting discussions.

MEFORM 2023
The Institute of Metal Forming at TU BA Freiberg hosted the 30th MEFORM conference from March 16 to 17, 2023. The topics revolved around the research topics of imf: Electro-Mobility, Lightweight Design, Energy consumption and Digitalization in metal forming processes like rolling and open die forging. The German QForm UK distributor prosimalys presented about finite element rolling simulation in industrial practice. GMT mbH presented the product QForm UK and its new possibilities as part of the accompanying company exhibition. QForm team had many interesting conversations with both familiar faces and new interested parties, which served as inspiration!

QFORM UK SEMINAR IN BILBAO, SPAIN
QForm UK Seminar for QForm users was held on March 31 in Bilbao, Spain. The event was attended by representatives of manufacturing plants and universities.
Andrei Potapov, Head of Technical Support Department, QForm Group, presented the new features of QForm version 10.2.4 and showed the new QForm Direct module.
QForm Direct makes it possible to create a 3D model of the preliminary dies for bulk forging processes and import the geometry into QForm to verify the result. The principle of QForm Direct is simple: the final die geometry should be loaded into the program and the required parameters set. Designed 3d-models can easily be imported into general QForm module to check the process.
After the presentations, time for answering user questions and personal conversations was available.
The seminar was organized together with Monterosa Advisory Sagl, QForm UK representative in Spain and Italy, and with the support of the Spanish stamping association SIFE and president of SIFE Luis Minguela. Especially thanks Ubaldo Panzone for coordination and Mauro Berard for assistance with translations.
The next QForm UK Seminar for users will be taken place on 31 May in Krakow, Poland.
