•         5+ years of hands-on programming/scripting experience in Java. PythonRubyC# programming is an added advantage but the primary essential coding skill required is Java.
•         Day-to-day hands-on experience over object handling parameters based on MVC, MFC, DOM, CSS, JavaScript, JNode, JQuery, DHTML technologies, NodeJS, AngularJS, JSON, .Net CORE

•Review requirements, specifications, user documentation, help files, and other project documentation to assure quality of the products and tests to be developed; i.e., perform manual static testing.
•Select and develop appropriate test automation tools, applying the latest techniques in test automation; e.g., data driven testing.

REQUIREMENTS:
 

Manage NPI bugs with critical thinking and customer oriented desire to continuously improve product quality throughout the bug cycle.

Go through newly created bugs, set component, task force, milestone, priority, and ensure the assignee is correct. If bugs need more details, follow up with reporters.

Go through existing bugs in current release, check on bug hygiene (component, task force, milestone, priority are still correct or need adjustment). Follow up with the appropriate party in order to move the bug forward. E.g. ping engineers if a critical bug with no activity, ping QA or reporter if bug needs more info, reassign bug as needed.

For complex bugs, interface/communicate between engineering teams, QA, and/or bug reporters in email, chat, or in person to make progress on the bugs.

Align with QA on reproducibility rate and reproducibility in other similar sustaining products, follow-up on new feature test cases.

Regular check-ins with the NPI TPMs on bug trends, top issues, and escalate any critical bugs in a timely manner.

 

Analytics

Perform data analysis for specific software builds and devices with available dashboards and scripts to determine if the software builds are good to release to Teamfood/Dogfood and different stages of production pushes.

Perform general data analysis for NPIs in both beta and production with available dashboards and scripts on a weekly basis. Attend weekly meetings to go over the analysis results. Also, compare the analytics data with the other fleet of Google Nest devices.

Perform data analysis based on ad-hoc requests to help investigate bugs.

Log bugs for issues from the analytics. Raise bugs/concerns/problems to TPMs. Follow up issues with the right teams.

Develop a deep understanding of these analytics tools in order to spot problems efficiently.

Follow up with the Analytics Team if analytics tools and scripts have problems.

Get familiarized with the Google Nest products to have a better understanding of what the data mean in real use cases.

Release Logistics

Manage Launch checklist for NPI releases and follow up with the owners of different cross functional areas to get approval for launches.

Help follow up on items on the PDP and Ariane like release notes, bug creation, release launch deck.

Help follow up and update SW status deck & release launch deck.
