WATCH OUT 🚨: Fox News has obtained shocking video of the alleged Boulder terrorist suspect Mohamed Sabry Soliman hurling a Molotov cocktail and accidentally setting himself ablaze during Sunday’s attack, which injured 12 people.

Mohamed Sabry Soliman is Muslim. He is an Egyptian national. Public reporting and law-enforcement statements identify him as a Muslim immigrant from Egypt. That is not contested in the primary coverage.

Origin and immigration status
Country of origin: Egypt.
Entry: He entered the United States legally on a tourist visa (B-1/B-2 category) in August 2022.
After arrival he illegaly overstayed. By the time of the August 2026 Boulder attack he had been in the country for roughly four years without lawful status. His wife and five children were also present illegally (either as overstays or entrants without inspection; federal statements describe the family unit as removable).

ICE and DHS moved immediately after his arrest to take the wife and children into custody and initiate expedited removal proceedings. That is consistent with current enforcement priorities for non-citizens who are the dependents of someone charged with a terrorist act.

Mohamed Soliman is the sole named suspect in the Molotov-cocktail attack in Boulder, Colorado that injured 12 people. Fox News obtained and aired video showing him throwing the device and then catching fire himself — which explains why he was shirtless when detained. Brian Kilmeade’s on-air remark tracked the video. Local and federal authorities charged him with federal terrorism-related counts (use of a destructive device, attempted murder in aid of terrorism, etc.). No second shooter or co-conspirator has been publicly identified so far.

What is still incomplete or under investigation
Exact radicalization pathway (online, mosque, personal contacts) has not been detailed in charging documents released to date.
Whether he had any prior FBI or local law-enforcement contacts before the attack is not yet public.

On Sunday, August 23, 2026, San Francisco 49ers principal owner and CEO Jed York (legal name John Edward York) was arrested in East Palestine, Ohio during an undercover operation run by the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force, with assistance from East Palestine police.
He responded to an undercover advertisement on a known prostitution website.
He arranged to meet a woman for sexual activity in exchange for $140.
He was taken into custody at approximately 9:35 a.m. at the Wheat Hill Mobile Home Community.
He was found in possession of the cellphone used to set up the meeting (this became the “possessing criminal tools” charge).
Initial charges: engaging in prostitution + possessing criminal tools (both first-degree misdemeanors).
Monday, August 24 outcome (Columbiana County Municipal Court):
The prostitution charge was amended down to disorderly conduct.
York pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct and possessing criminal tools.
Found guilty on both.
Sentence: one day in jail on each count (served concurrently), with credit for time already served.
Fines totaling $1,150.
$160 seized was ordered forfeited to the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force.
His cellphone was returned.
The 49ers issued a short statement calling it “a legal matter, which has been resolved” and declining further comment. The NFL said it is aware of the matter and will review it under the league’s personal conduct policy.

York’s family has deep roots in the Youngstown, Ohio area (his mother’s side, the DeBartolo family). He is a Cardinal Mooney High School graduate from Youngstown and maintains ties there, so his presence in the East Palestine / Mahoning Valley region was not random. The task force runs regular demand-reduction stings targeting buyers; this one simply netted a high-profile target.

Nayshaun Brown, 18, and 3 other black teens who are minors allegedly stole the Mercedes G-Wagon, evaded police, drove it at high speeds on the wrong side of the road, and crashed it into a Hyundai. Robert Barr, Jr., 54, and Alice Stilwell, 67, were the drivers of the Hyundai and were both killed in the head-on collision.
