🏥 HEALTH - In an AMAZING turn of events, the Flu has MAGICALLY DISAPPEARED WORLDWIDE during COVID pandemic - Scientific American reports.
Cases of influenza reported to WHO have almost DISAPPEARED: the US influenza 2020/21 “season” saw just 600 flu deaths, compared to CDC figures of 22k and 34k respectively in the previous two seasons, and the picture is the same across the globe.
Epidemiologists are putting it down to global public health measures designed to curb coronavirus.
With fewer flu virus particles it is expected the next flu vaccine will prove extra effective, but there are also fears that natural immunity could suffer with such little exposure.
