On this day, 26 April 2012, Navy Lt. (EOD) Christopher E. Mosko, 28, of Pittsford, N.Y.; assigned to Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force, Afghanistan, out of Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit 3 in San Diego; was killed while conducting combat operations in Nawa district, Ghazni province, Afghanistan. Also killed were Army Staff Sgt. Brandon Eggleston and Army Sgt. Dick Lee Jr. We must never forget those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

Our Father, God, loves his children even when they are rebellious. However, God showed Israel that their rebellion would drive his presence and blessing from them. But with their genuine repentance and their confession of sin, God joyously promises to bring revival, renewal, and restoration. He gives them, and gives us as Jesus' disciples, this very prayer as we turn our hearts to God, repent of our past sins, and return to His ways of living:
