In between Linus Torvalds' busy week being in Vienna for the Linux Kernel Maintainer Summit and related Linux Foundation events as well as managing the Linux 6.12 merge window with landing new features like sched_ext and real-time PREEMPT_RT, he also managed to finish up some of his own code for this next kernel version. Being merged today is his own code working on a new user access fast validation path using address masking.

Starting from the next version, Melt Kernel will abandon support for ROMs based on OSS kernel. In the future, Melt Kernel will only support MIUI14, HyperOS, and other ROMs that use the standard GKI 2.0+Xiaomi pre-compiled kernel modules.

I respect the efforts of the LineageOS team, but I don't like what they produced. They made a mess of GKI 2.0. They made something that looked like GKI 2.0 but wasn't GKI 2.0. Melt has made too much effort to be compatible with it, which is not worth it.
I still believe that GKI 2.0 is the future, and I do not endorse anything that goes against it.

作为“补偿”，下个版本的Melt Kernel将恢复提供unstable版（带有mglru和BBRv2）。但是和以前一样，我不接受任何仅在unstable版发生的bug的反馈。

As "compensation", the next version of Melt Kernel will resume providing unstable builds (with mglru and BBRv2). But as always, I will not accept feedback on bugs that only occur in the unstable build.
