Example of Creating and Using a Dictionary:

# Creating a dictionary
student_info = {
"name": "John Doe",
"age": 17,
"grade": "11th",
"subjects": ["Math", "Science", "English"]
}

# Accessing dictionary values by key
print(student_info["name"]) # Output: John Doe

# Adding a new key-value pair
student_info["hobby"] = "Reading"
print(student_info) # Adds 'hobby': 'Reading' to the dictionary

# Modifying an existing key's value
student_info["grade"] = "12th"
print(student_info["grade"]) # Output: 12th

# Removing a key-value pair using 'pop'
student_info.pop("age")
print(student_info) # Removes 'age' from the dictionary

# Looping through keys and values
for key, value in student_info.items():
print(key, value)

# Checking if a key exists in the dictionary
if "name" in student_info:
print("Key 'name' exists!")

Typing Amharic on Linux? Here's My Fix! ๐Ÿ’ป๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡น

I love Linux and wanted to switch from Windows, but the Amharic character mapping on Windows 10 & 11 is way better! ๐Ÿค” That made me hesitate about the move.

After some digging, I found out you can create your own custom character mapping on Linux using IBus and the ibus-m17n library. ๐ŸŽ‰ The mapping goes into a .mim file, and you can enable it through ibus-setup or IBus preferences.

So, I made my own Windows-like key mapping in a .mim file, and guess what? It worked perfectly! ๐Ÿ˜Ž Iโ€™ve shared everything in this repo here
https://github.com/kalcodes/am-geez with clear instructions for anyone to follow. Give it a try, and feel free to DM me with feedback or the distros you've tested it on! ๐Ÿš€
