Push traffic explained from zero: what subscribers are, how to read CTR, your first campaign setup, and why your push leads convert (or don't).

Auto-optimization vs doing it by hand

Today: who steers the campaign? Many sources offer "auto-optimization," where the system itself shifts your budget toward better-performing traffic. The other path is manual: you read reports and adjust yourself.

Which should you trust?
— Manual first. As a beginner, doing it by hand teaches you what good and bad traffic actually look like. The lesson is worth the effort.
— Auto-optimization later, once you know what "good" means, so you can tell when the machine is helping versus wasting money.

Think of auto as cruise control. Useful on a clear highway, dangerous before you've learned to drive.

Try this: find the auto-optimize toggle in your source and just leave it OFF for your first campaign. Hands on the wheel today.

High Profit — Low Life | Прислать сплетню
Whitelist vs blacklist: two ways to clean traffic

Today: every push source sends traffic from many small sites, each with a "source ID" (a number naming where clicks came from). You shape quality two ways.

— A blacklist blocks the bad source IDs after you spot them. You start open, then remove what wastes money.
— A whitelist allows only the good source IDs you already trust. You start closed, then add proven winners.

Which first?
— Begin with a blacklist. You need to run wide first to discover which sources are good and bad.
— Graduate to a whitelist later, rebuilt from your own winners, to scale safely.

Think of it as weeding a garden, then later replanting only the flowers that bloomed.

Try this: find where your report lists results by source ID. That list is your future blacklist.

Click rate vs conversion rate: which one lies to you

Today: two percentages, often confused. CTR (click-through rate) is the share of people who tap your push. CR (conversion rate) is the share of those clickers who do the goal action, like signing up.

Which should guide you?
— A high CTR feels great but can fool you. A shocking image gets taps from the wrong people who never convert.
— CR is the honest judge. It tells you whether the right people clicked.

Think of CTR as how many walk into the shop, and CR as how many actually buy. A loud sign fills the shop with browsers, not buyers.

Watch both together: high CTR plus low CR usually means a misleading creative.

Try this: in your last report, find CTR and CR side by side and just compare the two numbers.
Tiny test budget vs going big early

Today: how much to spend on a first test? You can drip a small amount or pour in a large one to "get data fast."

Which is wiser?
— Small budget, around 2 to 3 times the offer's payout, is enough to see if a creative shows life. It limits the cost of being wrong.
— A big early budget feels brave but often just buys an expensive mistake before you understand the numbers.

Think of it like tasting soup. You take a spoonful, not the whole pot, to decide if it needs salt.

The quiet truth: data does not need a big budget, it needs enough clicks to judge fairly, often just a few hundred.

Try this: take your offer's payout, multiply by 3, and write that down as your first test budget.
One creative vs testing five at once

Today: how many creatives to launch together? You can run a single one or load several to compete.

Which is better for learning?
— Run three to five creatives at once. Push audiences tire of images fast, so having backups keeps results alive when one fades.
— Running just one feels simple but leaves you stuck the moment it gets stale, with nothing to compare against.

Think of it like fishing with several lines instead of one. You learn quicker which bait the fish actually want.

Keep it fair: change only the image or only the title between versions, so you know which part caused the difference.

Try this: take your one creative and make two more by swapping just the title. Now you have a small test ready.

Я — Head of Retention. И в своём канале разбираю ошибки, из-за которых команды месяцами теряют LTV, даже не замечая этого.
All-day running vs choosing your hours (dayparting)

Today: a setting called "dayparting," which simply means choosing which hours of the day your push runs. You can run nonstop or pick certain windows.

Which to use, and when?
— Run all hours first. You need a full day's data to see when your offer actually converts before you cut anything.
— Switch to dayparting later, once the report clearly shows, say, that evenings convert and 4 a.m. only burns money.

Think of it like a coffee shop. You don't guess your busy hours on day one; you watch traffic first, then set opening times.

Try this: find the dayparting or "schedule" panel in your source and notice it exists. Leave it on "all hours" for now.
