Is it a seahorse? A dragon? A submarine?
One of the most fun lenses I have is an 8mm fisheye lens. It causes this very distorted look when used for portraits. While it is actually quite useful for pictures to give an "whole impression" of e.g. a location, it otherwise is quite a special lens I don't take with me usually.
In this case we see a black dragon, @RaidenRairyuu.

Some months ago I went on a little night shot tour into Dresden to try out long exposure photography. For this shot I used an over 40 years old manual Carl Zeiss Jena lens. A remarkable small, light, and yet super-sharp telephoto lens.
In January I was at Winterโ€™s Embrace. A metal furry dance event (hightly recommended).
I shot a few nice photos there, although Iโ€™ll start with this more scenic one here.
As one of the presenters at the Spring Fur Con Charity Auction, Nero did a good job. Although it looks rather as he wouldโ€™ve loved to keep this armadillo plushie.

Snow Leopard Friday?

Group photos like these are sometimes a real problem. The bright light of the background. The shadow on the actual motive (the suiters). And them not standing on a perfect line (focus/sharpness of their faces).
It's always a surprise package to see if this can be somehow turned into something useful in editing.
Is a phone camera better here? They seem to make better photos. But then again, they're already heavily automatically edited and usually don't offer the resolution to properly see details on the individuals if one wants to actually zoom in for that.
Everyone probably has this one favourite suit. Peypani is my favourite. Cat demands photos. All of them.

Sometimes you encounter the random perfect moment. This was one of them.

Night, light fog, and a little rain. Makes a wonderful scene for these two with just a little bit of extra decoration on them.

Birds properly standing upright on two legs is only for furry conventions? You were wrong.

Going very early into the zoo pays off. Most animals, especially the cats, donโ€™t hide from the sun or possibly annoying people at that point. Just after 10:00 they already begun going into hiding.

This ice bear takes his advertisement job to heart. Tell him that once you see him.

The fursuit walk of Gdakon brought us along a bubble maker (does one say that?). People really enjoyed it โ€“ and so did I with my camera.
On a technical note: I have not noticed until later how the image composition of this photo does so much right almost by the textbook.

Party hard in the last night of Spring Fur Con. The last DJ had just the right set to make people give their best for the last day.

These photos are a real challenge to do. A lot of motion, very little light. Probably over 95% of the photos I took there went straight to the garbage bin. I got to rethink my strategy about these.

People holding cameras taking footage of people holding cameras. That is probably the second most important task next to taking footage ofโ€ฆ who are we supposed to take footage of again?

For some reason this phoenix didnโ€™t want to pose with the matching firefighters. He chose the police instead.

These two run in front of my camera way too often. But always make a good couple nonetheless.
