You will not see anyone who is really striving after his advancement who is not given to spiritual reading. And as to him who neglects it, the fact will soon be observed by his progress.

On what basis are the temperaments classified?

There is a diversity of opinion among psychologists concerning the classification of temperament. For our purposes we may define temperament as the pattern of inclinations and reactions that proceed from the physiological constitution of the individual. It is a dynamic factor that determines to a great extent the manner in which an individual will react to stimuli of various kinds. The temperaments are classified according to how someone reacts to stimulation or impression. There are four possible temperaments one may have:

1) The person may react very strong and quickly – the resulting impression is faint and lasts for a short time. Strong reaction, faint impression. (Sanguine)

2) The person may react very strong and quickly – this time the resulting impression is strong and long lasting. Strong reaction, strong and long lasting impression. (Choleric)

3) The person may react slowly and weakly, but if stimulated often enough; the resulting impression is strong and long lasting. Slow reaction, strong and long lasting impression. (Melancholic)

4) The person may react slowly and weakly –and the resulting impression is faint and may last only a short time. Slow reaction, faint impression. (Phlegmatic)

It is Rooted as it is in the physiological structure, temperament is something innate and hereditary; it is the natural inclination of the somatic structure. It is, therefore, something permanent and admits of only secondary modification; it can never be totally destroyed. The axiom “grace does not destroy nature but perfects it” has its most obvious application in the area of temperament.

1) The Sanguine Temperament – Positives: Optimistic, extroverted, friendly, agreeable, compassionate, cheerful, enthusiastic. Negatives: Superficial, inconstant, and hasty in judgement, talkative, prone to vanity, flattery, and envy. Tend to rely on their feelings in matter of religion and can be quickly discouraged.

-Predominant faults tend to center around sensuality, making them prone to gluttony and lust. They need to be mindful to avoid bad company, and should strive to develop the virtues of detachment, silence, temperance, modesty and chastity. They should practice daily acts of self-denial. Examples of Saints with the sanguine temperament: St. Augustine, St. Theresa of Avila, St. Francis Xavier, St. Rose of Lima.

2) The Choleric Temperament – Positives: Act favorably to reason and high ideals. Tend to be very practical and very active with great powers of concentration and endurance. A tendency to be strong willed, constant, and generous. Negatives: Strong passions and are prone to anger. Obstinate, stubborn, and impatient. A tendency to be domineering and hard with a lack of compassion and sympathy for their fellow man.

-Predominant faults are pride and/or anger. They need to be mindful to develop the virtues of humility, meekness, kindness, and charity. They should foster a devotion to the sacred heart and say the litany of humility daily. They should read and meditate on the sufferings of Christ. They should strive to calmly accept humiliations and frustrations. Examples of Saints with the choleric temperament: St. Jerome, St. Ignatius, St. Francis de Sales.

3) Melancholic Temperament – Positives: Sympathetic with a tenderness and generosity towards their friends. Inclined towards reflection, piety, and the interior life. Negatives: Surrender too easily and are overly reserved and overly serious (except with close friends).

-Predominant faults are sorrow, fear, aversion, despondency, and despair. They need to pay close attention to resentful feelings or over sensitiveness, and strive to develop a joyous attitude by keeping careful custody of the mind in regards to sad or depressing thoughts. They need to work on the virtues of fortitude, charity, and hope. They should develop a spirit of prayer, since they are inclined to interior life. Examples of Saints with the melancholic temperament: St. Bernard, St: Aloysius Gonzaga, St. Therese of Lisieux .

4) Phlegmatic Temperament: Positives: Tranquil, discreet, sober, and mentally balanced with good common sense. Not easily irritated, demand very little. Prudent, sensible, and work with a measured pace. Negatives: Procrastination, ease and comfort, unambitious with a lacking of interest in events around them.

-Predominant fault: Sloth. Must be mindful to develop deep convictions to rouse themselves and demand of themselves methodical and constant efforts toward greater perfection. Examples of Saints with a phlegmatic temperament: St. Thomas Aquinas.
“Taking our cue from the use of veils in the sanctuary, we can say that every woman who embraces the ancient tradition of wearing a veil creates a wonderful harmony between herself as a vessel of life and the vessels that hold Life itself.”

Some #reflections : are our views of purpose of life based on the gospel, or the secular world ?

#reading #life #secular #daily #today #world
Remember that the devil was once a beautiful angel in the Heavens with God. Just as the world will make evil look good and good look evil. Society will continue to push this narrative that scandalous women win, but what do they win? Women that lead with promiscuity only have this to rely on. Once they are no longer youthful enough or popular enough, they are discarded.

As a virtuous woman, you offer more than just your body. You offer an example of fine womanhood, femininity and qualities that any man would want to invest his time in. God is most pleased with women that honour and guard their virtue. In a world where escorts, models and celebrity women are living lavish lives, I urge you to remember that nothing is free. Some lifestyles will cost you your peace of mind, self respect and soul.

“O Jesus and Mary, let my entire consolation in this world be to love you and to suffer for sinners.”

“O Jesus, I would rather die a thousand deaths than be unfaithful to you!”

“I must die to myself continually and accept trials without complaining. I work, I suffer and I love with no other witness than his heart. Anyone who is not prepared to suffer all for the Beloved and to do his will in all things is not worthy of the sweet name of Friend, for here below, Love without suffering does not exist.”

“I shall spend every moment loving. One who loves does not notice her trials; or perhaps more accurately, she is able to love them.”

“O my Mother, to you I sacrifice all other attachments so that my heart may belong entirely to you and to my Jesus.”

“I shall do everything for Heaven, my true home. There I shall find my Mother in all the splendor of her glory. I shall delight with her in the joy of Jesus himself in perfect safety.”

“From this moment on, anything concerning me is no longer of any interest to me. I must belong entirely to God and God alone. Never to myself.”

Love overcomes, love delights
Those who love the Sacred Heart rejoice.
Jesus, my God, I love you above all things.

– Bernadette Soubirous

Honourable and Virtuous women will attract their likeness.
The positive side to society being so degenerate, is the ability to stand out as a virtuous woman. Believe me ladies, there are plenty of men who are tired of the promiscuity and lack of virtue in modern women. Today more than ever you can stand out! Show your difference with your attitude, the way you dress and the manner in which you express yourself. A man may stare at a promiscuous woman, but he will never genuinely love her. A man may even sleep with one (a mans nature is different, remember), however he would never love or respect one. Men have gone to war and work hard jobs for the women they deemed honourable and respectable!

Why the consecration of #Russia has not been done as asked by Our Lady of #Fatima?

We know that no Pope has had any valid reason for defying Heaven's command for this act of reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. In fact, Bishop Rudolph Graber said that each has been guilty of a crime against humanity for such grave negligence.

From the time of Heaven's formal command for the Consecration in 1929, the devil seems to have used every means to make the Popes believe that they either don't dare or don't need to comply with it. Pope Pius XI, for instance, was persuaded that such an act would compromise his negotiations with Stalin - whom he wrongly trusted, apparently more than he credited Our Lady of Fatima's warnings.

Closer to our own time, Pope John Paul II seemed to fear giving offense to the Orthodox and thus compromising the post-Vatican II idol of #ecumenism, or perhaps he had been threatened with some Russian military aggression. At any rate, on August 1, 1984 (four months after his most significant consecration of the world), he lamented to Abbe Pierre Caillon, "We cannot consecrate Russia apart by itself."

Ultimately, the delay must stem from the fact that we all, whether clergy or lay, have not done enough of what Heaven has asked of us to hasten the Triumph of Our Lady's Immaculate Heart, especially through our daily Rosaries and monthly First Saturday acts of reparation. We must continue to pray and to sacrifice ourselves for this intention, as Our Lady pleaded in Her final words of that formal request of June 13, 1929: "Sacrifice yourself for this intention, and pray!"

No good intention can turn an evil act into a good act, since result doesn't justify the means. By taking the vaccine, we will be 100% collaborating with the act of abortion, supporting the culture of death, and the #NWO's plot of controlling the human population/genocide. It's not necessary intrinsically an evil act, but it shouldn't be taken without being under absolutely serious circumstances (for example the government will take your kids away if you don't). And it will be an act of charity to tell your neighbours that the vaccines are abortion-attained and manifest your disgust. Remember that ignorance doesn't save anybody. As a last resort, at least we can pray, protest it and delay it as much as possible for this evil plot to be overturned, or a ethically moral vaccine to be developed.

Here is their verifiable testimony about the Consecration requested by Our Lady of Fatima:

SISTER LUCY, REGARDING THE 1982 CONSECRATION OF THE WORLD

"In the Act of offering of May 13, 1982, #Russia did not appear clearly as the object of the consecration. And each bishop did not organize in his own diocese a public and solemn ceremony of reparation and consecration of Russia. Pope John Paul II has simply renewed the consecration of the world made by Pope Pius XII on October 31, 1942. Of this consecration of the world one may hope for certain good effects, but not the conversion of Russia. ... The Consecration of Russia has not been done as Our Lady requested."

(Deposition of March 19, 1983 to Archbishop Portalupi, the Apostolic Nuncio to Portugal.)

REGARDING THE 1984 CONSECRATION OF THE WORLD

A few days before the event (having read the text that the Pope would use): "Russia does not appear clearly as the only object of the Consecration. ... This consecration cannot have a decisive character."

(Published by Fr. Pierre Caillon, The Seers of Fatima, January-April 1984.)

And afterward: "There was no participation of all the bishops, and there was no mention of Russia." [Interviewer: "So the consecration was not done as requested by Our Lady?"] "No. Many bishops attached no importance to this act."

(Interview published in September 1985 in Sol de Fatima, the official publication of the Blue Army in Spain.)

AND JOHN PAUL II, hours after his 1984 consecration of the world, continued to pray for a particular nation whose consecration he admitted Our Lady still awaited. On the occasion of the March 25, 1984 consecration of the world, at the “Adieu to Our Lady” ceremony at 4:00 p.m. that same afternoon, at which time the pilgrims gathered once more (now in St. Peter’s Basilica) to bid goodbye to the statue of Our Lady of Fatima, the Holy Father again prayed, asking Our Lady to bless “those peoples for whom You Yourself are awaiting our act of consecration, the act which will confide them to You.” (Reported by both L’Osservatore Romano and the Italian Catholic bishops’ newspaper Avvenire.)

Our Lady of Fatima has only asked for the Consecration of one nation. The Pope was clearly referring to Russia, and acknowledging that the #Consecration requested by Our Lady of #Fatima had not been performed that morning.

The facts are as plain as they are desperate. No Pope has ever claimed to have performed the Consecration as requested by Our Lady of Fatima. And no Consecration such as that specified in Our Lady's request has ever taken place.

From the Holy Gospel according to Luke
Luke 12:2-8
In the meantime, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, in so much that they trod one upon another, Jesus began to say unto His disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy, for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.
And so on.

Homily by St. John Chrysostom, (Patriarch of Constantinople)
On Matthew x. 26.)
The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord. It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household? Fear them not, therefore: for] there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. It is as though He would say: It is comfort enough for you, if I, your Master and Lord, am a partaker in your reproach. But if it grieve you unto this present to hear these things, bethink you likewise that it is but a little while, and ye shall be free from that reproach. For what is it that grieveth you? is it that they call you tricksters and deceivers? Wait but a little while and all men shall call you the preservers and benefactors of the world. In a little while all the things which are dark now shall be made clear, and the falsehood of them that reproach you and your own goodness shall be shown in the light. For when that which cometh to pass shall itself show that ye are preservers and benefactors, and filled with all goodness, men will regard not the words of your gainsayers but the truth. They that now speak evil of you will be found out in the slanderers, liars, and calumniators, and ye shall be seen to be brighter than the sun; time shall make you known and shall preach you with a voice louder than the voice of a trumpet, and shall bring forward all men as the witnesses of your goodness. Let not, therefore, those things which are now spoken cast you down, but rather let the hope of the good things which are to come lift you up. For the things which regard you cannot be hidden.

And when He had freed them from pain, fear, and care, and set them above the reproaches of men, He spake unto them in due season concerning the freedom of preaching, What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the house-tops. It was not darkness when He uttered these words, neither was He speaking into their ear. These words were a figure He was speaking to them alone and in a little corner of Palestine, and therefore He saith in darkness and in the ear, as comparing this manner of speech with that boldness of speaking wherewith He was afterwards to inspire them. Preach, He saith, not in one nor two nor three cities, but throughout the whole world go over the earth and the sea, the land that is dwelt in and the land that is not dwelt in speak all things with great boldness to kings and to peoples, to philosophers and to rhetoricians therefore without any subtlety, but with all freedom, He saith, What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the house-tops.
