this seems like a good update imo, as always itโs down to traders on how they use it but if utilized in the intended way this is a very pve
nice to see that the pump fun team are doing their best to tackle pvp with new tech, one of my biggest concerns has been a lack of anti-pvp measures and this is a huge step in the right direction

Pump doing its part to try to slow down vamping and PVP with its Custom Pairs rollout
Now any Pump token is eligible to be paired with new launches, with the idea that new paired launches will drive liquidity back to the leaders
Very interesting experiment here from Pump

I love what Pumpfun is doing here
Custom Pairs is taking a new approach at an attempt of solving PVP.
Instead of traders constantly selling one token to chase another, Custom Pairs allows them to speculate on derivatives tied to the main runner. Trading these derivatives helps support the main token rather than hurting it.
New blockchain tech also prevents users from paying stacked fees when multiple tokens are involved in a single swap.
A step toward turning PVP into something that benefits everyone, nice to see pumpfun showing that community feedback is being heard and acted on!

this might actually fix vamping
instead of launching a copycat, people can just launch the obvious beta paired to the runner and get exposure to both
and if a runner has a whole ecosystem of smaller tokens feeding buy pressure back into it, vamping it becomes way harder
excited to see how this plays out

One of the biggest problems with memecoins has always been PVP.
Everyone wants to find the next runner, but the constant rotation of liquidity and attention often ends up hurting the very coins people are trying to trade.
What PumpFun is experimenting with through Custom Pairs is genuinely interesting.
Instead of fighting speculation, why not build infrastructure that makes speculation work in favor of the main runner?
Imagine being able to trade derivatives of a token without necessarily taking direct exposure to the underlying runner, while the trading activity itself can still generate demand for it.
That's a fundamentally different approach to PVP.
What's equally interesting is the technology behind it. PumpFun says they've developed a way to route swaps involving multiple tokens without users having to pay every associated token fee along the way.
Whether this becomes the solution remains to be seen, but I like the direction.
The team is listening to feedback, acknowledging the problems traders face, and actually experimenting with solutions.
That's how you move the space forward.

this is, as a concept, one of my favorite recent developments for the memecoin โecosystemโ
beta-plays now have more validity; ppl trade them no matter what, but now they actually benefit the alpha
a lasting, compounding effect in favor of the alpha, regardless of the end-result

PvP has been a really tough problem for both new and existing traders
I probably see a post a day about the difficulties of trading
So glad to see @Pumpfun aim towards solving this and take the necessary steps
Innovating new blockchain tech towards Customized Pairs is a move in the right direction
It also points out that theyโre listening - user feedback is critical and it feels like concerns are actually being addressed with new, unique ways
The ecosystem continues to grow!! @PumpfunEco
