Introducing USDC pairs

Coin creators now have the option to launch with USDC-paired liquidity pools; for more stability, better coin distribution & higher ceilings.

Over recent months, the price of SOL has inadvertently pushed the bonding curve & traders to their limits

As a result, the bonding curve, which is denominated in SOL, saw record lows in starting market caps at ~$2k and bonding occurring at ~$30k, which made it far cheaper to buy more supply for lower cost, leading to worse distribution & lower ceilings

We’re increasing the bar for quality with USDC pairs

Inspired by historical data, all USDC-paired coins have a starting market cap at $4k and bonding occurs at $58,783 for a stable, fairer setup designed for optimal trading conditions which historically saw the trenches thrive

The structure for USDC pairs was designed with stability - and more importantly - a healthier ecosystem in mind, but how does it achieve that?

Simply put, supply in the earliest stage of a coin’s life becomes a lot more expensive (67% more expensive) with USDC pairs:

- It costs ~$12,161 to bond a USDC token, compared to ~$7276 for a SOL token
- It costs ~$1682 to buy the first 30% of a USDC token, compared to ~$998 for a SOL token

Now, supply abuse is more expensive & thus throttling token upsides at lower market caps will be mitigated.

Furthermore, with more market cap certainty & less reliance on SOL performance, the trenches will become a much more retail-friendly experience. Reduced onboarding friction & no more wallet balance fluctuations in between trades.

We’re excited for USDC pairs to shape a significantly healthier onchain trading experience!

$PUMP buybacks & burns

The existing commitment to programmatic buybacks & burns is unaffected, meaning 50% of all revenue generated from USDC pairs and SOL pairs will continue to be programmatically bought back & burned in line with 50% of all other pump fun platform revenues.

A big move towards better onboarding of retail users and a healthier ecosystem.

Aside from introducing a stablecoin as the base currency for launched coins, the market parameters are now back to where they were during pump’s most prosperous eras.

More stability, higher floors, higher ceilings, better distribution, less supply abuse, a more balanced ecosystem.
