1. Trade API — full execution control

We've added new parameters:
- maxQuoteAmountIn, minBaseAmountOut — for buys
- maxBaseAmountIn, minQuoteAmountOut — for sells

Slippage alone doesn't give you full control — the price can shift several times within milliseconds. By passing these parameters you fully control your transaction's execution and will never buy at a price you didn't expect.

2. Data Stream — quoteMint everywhere

Soon pump.fun is rolling out support for creating and trading tokens with quoteMint = USDC. To prepare you for this, we now include the quoteMint field for WSOL pools too (previously we only sent it for pools where the quote token wasn't SOL).

📍 Reminder: our servers moved to Frankfurt to sit next to the validators. Move your servers to Frankfurt for a significant speed boost.

Breaking changes — June 10 ‼️‼️

pump.fun added USDC as a quote token. We're renaming a few fields so you don't have to handle SOL and USDC separately in your code:

solAmount → quoteAmount
solInPool → quoteInPool
vSolInBondingCurve → vQuoteInBondingCurve
marketCapSol → marketCapQuote
txType → action (one tx can produce multiple events, so "tx type" was misleading)

Until June 10 both old and new names are sent in every message. After that, only the new names remain. Switch your code now.

Creating USDC-quoted tokens

You can now create pump.fun tokens with a custom quote. To launch a USDC-quoted token, pass:

'quoteMint': 'EPjFWdd5AufqSSqeM2qN1xzybapC8G4wEGGkZwyTDt1v'

Trading USDC-quoted tokens

You must pass the same quoteMint on every buy/sell. Without it, quoteMint defaults to WSOL — you'll either get an error, or — worse — hit a scam pool with the same base mint.

When you trade, we pick the best pool for the mint + quoteMint pair. Wrong quoteMint = wrong pool.

Trade API update ⚡️

1. Smarter pool selection 🎯
By default we now pick the best pool across all pools available for the token — not just the mint-quoteMint pair.

For example, if the best pool uses USDC, you'll spend/receive USDC. Want to limit selection to a specific pair? Just pass quoteMint like before. Now you can sell every token in a wallet without checking which pools they trade in — the quote token is resolved automatically.

2. New "trades" array in every response 📊
Each buy/sell via the Lightning API now returns:

'trades': [{'poolId': '...', 'mint': '...', 'quoteMint': '...', 'pool': 'amm-name'}]

✔️So you can see exactly which pool was used and which quoteMint was spent/received.

We added two new fields to every event we send:

• programsUsed — addresses of programs that triggered the event, such as Jupiter, Axiom, and others.
• addressLookupTables — a list of ALTs used to include more accounts in the transaction.

Reminder: Pump AMM will release an update on June 20 that changes how prices are calculated. You don’t need to change anything.
If you currently calculate prices yourself, please switch to using the price field included in every event.

New field in every trade and liquidity event: "breakdown"

Trades in the stream are aggregated. If one transaction has a 5 SOL buy and a 4 SOL sell in the same pool, you get a single buy event for 1 SOL.

breakdown shows every trade separately, with its own trader and amounts.

Two small updates:

pump-amm Data Stream events now include virtualQuoteInPool. For pump.fun pools, this value is currently always the same, but if that ever changes, you can always read the actual value from this field. It represents the amount of liquidity eligible for recovery after migration.

The Trading API now also supports cuLimit. The lower the cuLimit, the higher the transaction priority, but also the higher the chance that the transaction will fail. By default, we use values that ensure transactions don’t fail.
