The Danger of Praying for Revival:

We should first define our terms – revival is certainly a biblical concept in that God does give new life and victory to the church at certain times. However, the modern conception of a sudden, unforeseen, emotion-sodden bolt from heaven is completely absent from Scripture and unknown throughout most of church history. That this second conception is dangerous should be agreed on by all.

But I still argue that praying for a more biblical idea of revival can be dangerous. Many Christians who are enamored of revival get lost in the idea and fail to take practical steps to further Christ’s dominion. Instead of moving the needle in the small but tangible ways that they can, they sit idly on the sidelines praying for revival. This is foolish since all major victories for the church were preceded by decades – if not centuries – of hard and thankless toil by millions of nameless and faceless saints unrecorded by history. It is enough to be one of these saints. God who sees in secret will reward them.

The Covenanters: committed to the full reform of the Scottish Kirk, they rode into battle under the banner of crown & covenant. Their saints found martyrdom with pistol in hand, battling the forces of popery & despotism. Bathed in light, they vigorously contended for the Scottish Presbyterian faith.

C.S Lewis on the problem of the conformist midwit:

“Why you fool, it's the educated reader who CAN be gulled. All our difficulty comes with the others. When did you meet a workman who believes the papers? He takes it for granted that they're all propaganda and skips the leading articles. He buys his paper for the football results and the little paragraphs about girls falling out of windows and corpses found in Mayfair flats. He is our problem. We have to recondition him. But the educated public, the people who read the high-brow weeklies, don't need reconditioning. They're all right already. They'll believe anything.”
― C.S. Lewis, That Hideous Strength

Of course I believe in women's rights. They have the right to remain silent.
The Christian faith was outlawed, and Christians were persecuted for 249 years (From 64AD, until the Edict of Milan in 323AD - a period of 249 years) - Longer than America has been a nation.

Earth is not simply a waiting room outside of heaven. Earth is a good creation of God's and He promises to redeem and regenerate it (Mat. 19:28). The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof (Ps. 24:1). Earth is the reward God promises the faithful (Mat. 5:5).

We build and fight here in this world because God has mandated we take dominion of it (Gen. 1:28). We believe we will succeed because all the nations have been given to Christ (Ps. 2:8) and He must reign till every enemy is crushed under His feet (1 Cor. 15:24-28, cf. Rom. 16:20).

This is the essence of postmillenialism.

In this article, we outline the ideal legal status Christians should strive for on abortion. With Roe v. Wade gone, dozens of state laws, each with their own nuances and loopholes will come into play. Christians having a full-orbed position on abortion will be essential to continuing the crusade for life. https://protestantpost.substack.com/p/the-complete-christian-view-of-abortion

Sin is not taken seriously because God is not taken seriously.

— R. J. Rushdoony, "The Cure for Souls"

Almighty and most merciful Father; We have erred, and strayed from thy ways like lost sheep. We have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts. We have offended against thy holy laws. We have left undone those things which we ought to have done; And we have done those things which we ought not to have done; And there is no health in us. But, thou, O Lord, have mercy upon us, miserable offenders. Spare thou those, O God, who confess their faults. Restore thou those who are penitent; According to thy promises declared unto mankind in Christ Jesus our Lord. And grant, O most merciful Father, for his sake; That we may hereafter live a godly, righteous, and sober life, To the glory of thy holy Name. Amen.

— Congregational Confession from the Book of Common Prayer

Baptists are sacramental Arminians. Instead of demanding a free will cognitively aware "decision for Christ" to be saved, they demand a free will cognitively aware "credible profession" to be baptized.

It should come as no surprise, then, that the original baptists, who were all what we now call "Reformed baptists," devolved into an Arminian movement within about 200 years. Only recently have baptists begun to recover their Reformed heritage. Hopefully they will reform their sacramentology along with their soteriology.

Either the Constitution is functioning as intended, in which case it's useless, or the Constitution was not able to keep itself functioning in the manner it was intended, in which case it is likewise useless.

What conservatives miss in their infatuation with the Constitution is that while de jure power lies in the law, de facto power lies with the elite/rulers. There is no "system" which can be devised to restrict evil, only wise and just rulers weilding power righteously.

"Only in an age of studied immaturity do men mock at marriage as though it were bondage. What they are saying, in effect, is that responsibility, or more simply, manhood, is bondage, and permanent childhood, freedom.

Such persons are not worth answering."
