Tips of the day Beginner Pilots

1️⃣ Master Your Radio Voice Early
Clear, calm, and confident radio communication sets you apart instantly. Practice with ATC recordings—even before flying.

2️⃣ Chair Fly Every Procedure
Visualize the cockpit at home and mentally walk through checklists and maneuvers. It builds muscle memory like magic.

3️⃣ Learn to Love Weather Charts
Most new pilots fear METARs and TAFs. Instead, treat them like aviation’s secret code — decode them daily for fun.

4️⃣ Don’t Chase Hours — Chase Knowledge
Flight time matters, but quality time matters more. Ask questions, review your flights, and debrief actively with instructors.

5️⃣ Build a “Pilot Journal”
Document every flight, emotion, mistake, and lesson. In 6 months, you’ll be shocked at how far you’ve come.

6️⃣ Fly With Different Instructors
Every instructor teaches slightly differently. Learning from a variety of styles improves your adaptability.

7️⃣ Start Learning About ATPL Early
Even as a PPL student, peek into ATPL theory (air law, aircraft systems). It’ll give you a head-start in commercial flying.

8️⃣ Develop Situational Awareness on the Ground
Watch taxiing patterns, listen to ground ATC, and observe traffic flow. Great pilots are alert even before takeoff.

9️⃣ Understand Your Aircraft's “Personality”
Each aircraft behaves differently. Pay attention to its quirks — how it flares, how it stalls, how it trims.

🔟 Don’t Neglect Fitness and Sleep
A foggy brain in the cockpit = danger. Hydration, good sleep, and mental alertness are as crucial as your checklist.

Its primary mission is to ensure safety of civil aviation.

Know more 🫲
Safety:
The FAA's primary goal is to ensure the safety of civil aviation. This includes setting and enforcing regulations for aircraft design and maintenance, pilot training, and air traffic control.

Air Traffic Control:
The FAA operates a network of air traffic control facilities (airport towers, air route traffic control centers, and flight service stations) to manage and direct air traffic.

Personnel Certification:
The FAA certifies pilots, aircraft mechanics, and other aviation personnel.

Aircraft Certification:
The FAA also certifies the airworthiness of aircraft designs, manufacturing processes, and maintenance procedures.

Airport Standards:
The FAA sets and enforces safety standards for airports, including runway design, lighting, and other infrastructure.

National Airspace System (NAS):
The FAA develops and maintains the National Airspace System, which is the network of air traffic control facilities and procedures that manage air traffic.
Research and Development:
The FAA conducts research and development in aviation technology, including new air traffic control systems, aircraft design, and safety procedures.
Commercial Space Transportation:
The FAA also regulates commercial space transportation, including the launch and re-entry of commercial space vehicles.

Enforcement:

Air India Dreamliner Crashes After Takeoff from Ahmedabad, 242 On Board
June 12 2025— An Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner en route to London crashed just minutes after taking off from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad on Thursday afternoon.

The aircraft, destined for London Gatwick, went down in the Meghani area — a densely populated civilian zone near the airport — triggering a massive explosion and sending thick black smoke billowing into the sky. Emergency services rushed to the scene, including multiple fire engines and ambulances, as rescue operations commenced immediately.

According to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the flight was carrying a total of 242 people: 230 passengers, 2 pilots, and 10 cabin crew members. The aircraft was commanded by Captain Sumeet Sabharwal, with First Officer Clive Kundar as co-pilot.

A source told Reuters that the passengers included 217 adults and 11 children, with 169 Indian nationals, 43
Britons, 7 Portuguese, and 1 Canadian among them.

The aircraft had been fully fueled for the long-haul international journey, which intensified the post-crash fire and explosion.

Authorities have not yet confirmed any fatalities or the condition of those on board, as rescue and response efforts continue.
