Sorry, I gonna check all the comments by the end of the day.

Guess who is working all weekends for this AI shit? Yes, Andrii is working…

For daily leetcode - yesterday was skippable stuff. Pretty complicated thing without much patterns. For today I will post

I am sometimes rethinking life choices, as for now I could have recorded videos from inside of that office😁

Not now, but someday folks, I WILL record from that office. Take a screenshot.

Daily 363d day streak (yesterday)

Extremely complicated codeforces shit + didn't have time yesterday. No patterns pretty much. I would recommend to skip.

Daily 364th day streak

Not bad problem, pretty unique in a sense, never seen such intuition behind it.

This is brilliant.
Yes, it is a tradeoff as in basic computer science:
- you have quick writes but long reads
- you have slow writes but long reads

That's it. And I was always respecting people and projects that respect other's time and make bigger effort on write (the code) so that it is much quicker to get the mental model when other 15+ colleagues are reading the code

this is exactly what happened with our AI proj at Snowflake.
The code was pushed quicker than people can track it and save it to brain.

Now the complexity is too high to comprehend. And now human either asks LLM to fix the error and prays, or needs 2 weeks to understand how shit works (still with ai, cause you fucking cannot read 2-3k lines of rust function)

I'm not joking about 2 weeks.
I had to do knowledge share about our CRAZY COMPLICATED THE HARDEST TO COMPREHEND IN MY LIFE custom PKI/Certificates.

took me 2 weeks to draw down the excalidraw diagrams. It was seen during the meeting people didn't understand shit out of my talk about certs (however it was crazy distilled, easy-to-read-hard-to-write snapshot of things).

I already see how beautiful the oncall will be for that thing😁

btw we are 2.5k on YouTube!!

LeetCode cap did its work xDDD skyrocketing

Thank you for being with me. Hope it is fun/interesting/useful for you at least sometimes

Daily 365th day streak

Good problem for Game theory, we had bunch of them few days ago. Definitely recommended, it is "subbranch" of DP problems. And it is not that hard, harder than prev ones, but doable

I FUCKING SOLVED AI PUZZLE, just sat calmly and microstep by microstep investigated.

Now waiting for tests to confirm, and solve daily for tomorrow. Amazing feeling, amazing vibe 3am.

Not all would understand, but this is fun for me😁

I will never stay if I dont want to. I cannot make myself usually😁😁

I got a right vibe, I got involved and felt challenge I wanted to solve for myself. Tbh I didnt really care about Snowflake yesterday, it was personal😁

Side thing, manager understands and I will get 1 vacation day for that.

In general people very strict about employees to BE on vacation and TAKE vacation, it is EU. But, I am the guy who goes office every day, cause I like it. Aaand, I am usually starting late, during working days (you cannot find me in the office before 11:30). And they are somehow okay with that, therefore I am staying late. If anyone would tell me “you must come before 10”. I would stop doing that for sure

He had something to say.

They are so cute here, and at the same time mafia style birds. They can steal your burger from hand (I have heard stories)

Ooooh my god. Sorry, but I agree with that guy. Moreover I believe that people that say “code is never a hard thing” never actually did anything except printing html button or putting json from one storage to another storage.

Go and try write low level kernel networks thingy with rust or c. Let’s see how “coding is not hard part” 🤡.

Maybe they think code is just syntax, which confirms my above’s point, cause if you try multiple langs, you will see how at least thread model and async/await model is different. How memory management is different (AND IT IS NOT EVEN INCLUDING NON-IMPERATIVE LANGS LIKE SCALA, F#)

Really like go check almost any open source thing: nginx, envoy, postgres, redis, sqllite. And tell me fucking code is easy part🤡🤡🤡 and it is only networks/storage. Lets see game engines, lets see microcontrollers and embedded systems. Lets see LLMs inference code, any machine learning engine essentially. Lets see any compiler or interpreter

You know I'm a bit addicted to sharing knowledge with people, and it is unbelievable feeling, when you can share something you have been working and studying for long time and see it helps people.

BUT

Seeing people contributing and using your software - IS DIFFERENT LEVEL of dopamines/endorphins🥰
