A volcanic eruption on the island of La Palma 🇪🇸

Palma is an island in the Atlantic Ocean, part of the Canary archipelago, which in turn is of volcanic origin. In the southern part of Palma some volcanoes are still active.
As a result of the eruption in 2021, 6,000 people were evacuated from populated areas of the island.

🇨🇭The Rosenlaui Glacier is a 5-km-long glacier situated in the Bernese Alps in the canton of Berne in Switzerland.

The contrast between tranquil forests and craggy ice and rock formations in the Rosenlaui Valley has captivated artists from all around the world for more than 200 years. Visitors can still enjoy this wildly romantic landscape today – on a hike from the Grosse Scheidegg to the Schwarzwaldalp, for example.

The Fervedouro do Buritizinho is shaped like a drop and the spring is deeper than other fountains, so the floating sensation is not so intense. It is possible to swim calmly and, in some points, the depth may not even allow one to stand up. Even without the great pressure of the spring, the visit is a must.

The Ala Archa National Park is located in the Tian Shan mountains, about 40 kms south of Bishkek. It was established in 1976 and its famous for the magnificent Ala-Archa gorge and its surroundings. It’s open year round but late summer and early fall are the best seasons to visit it.

🇳🇴The Fog falls of Senja Island

There is nothing stopping the fury of the Atlantic from hitting the outer coast of Senja. The coast drops 7-800 metres from the mountain tops directly into the ocean. The landscape is rock hard, with barren cliffsides and rocky promontories. There are also coves and bays with fishing villages, and some of the sandy beaches are of that South Sea quality.

🏔A ride along the coast of Pangong

In Ladakh, you never know what surprise nature has in store for you. Pangong Lake, situated at a height of almost 4,350m, is the world’s highest saltwater lake. Its water, which seems to be dyed in blue, stand in stark contrast to the arid mountains surrounding it. Extending to almost 160km, one-third of the Pangong Lake lies in India and the other two-thirds in China.
