A new custom is complete and ready to head home to a wonderful little girl. A gift for her birthday from her Mom. So sweet. Her special piece is made with amazonite, peridot, seed beads, 18k gold charms and α rune pendant from Poland.
I have been weaving the flat Slavic spiral design since 2020. Dozens of unique customs have gone out all over the world celebrating heritage, honoring Gods and folkways.

My approach to filmmaking is to tell stories that draw from our history, folklore and mythology, and with Once Upon a Time in Minnesota, I took inspiration from the Scandinavian heritage and history of my home state.
One of the first kernels of the story started was when I discovered the Kensington Runestone, a purported stone tablet, of debatable authenticity, said to made by vikings from the 1300s, that was found here in Kensington, MN.
The translation of this relic being-
βWe are 8 Goths [Swedes] and 22 Norwegians on an exploration journey from Vinland through the West. We had camp by a lake with 2 skerries [small rocky islands] one dayβs journey north from this stone. We were out and fished one day. After we came home we found 10 of our men red with blood and dead. AVM [Ave Virgo Maria, or Hail, Virgin Mary] save us from evil. We have 10 of our party by the sea to look after our ships, 14 daysβ journey from this island. Year 1362.β-
This jump started my imagination and over the course of the last three years a story developed into what it is now, with the Kensington Runestone evolving into the Lundgren Runestone the main characters find not too far from their cabin, and a possible backstory for the translation filled in by the mysterious antagonist of the film.

Jeff Marshall fuses with a metallic alien lifeform called Sleek and gains the power to turn into metal and conjure battle armour. He fights the aliens of the Kryn Mercenaries determine to capture Sleek. Using his newfound powers, Jeff delivers beatdown after beatdown against the forces of the Kryn.
It's my first foray into the superhero genre and I took a bunch of inspiration from Japanese tokusatsu shows, but threw in a heavy dose of small town Britishness to make it something unique.
