Here is the short-short version for researchers needing a quick bite of info 😊

How to Microdose GLP-1s (Dosing Strategy)

Here’s how to set up your microdosing protocol:

For a 2mg weekly dose of reta:

➡️ Inject 0.5mg every other day (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday).

For a 4mg weekly dose (DO NOT START THIS HIGH!!!):

➡️ Inject 1.3mg 3x per week.

For a 6mg weekly dose (YOU SHOULD ONLY BE ON THIS HIGH OF A DOSE AFTER PROLONGED USE OF 18-24 WEEKS+):

➡️ Inject 2mg 3x per week.

This keeps your blood levels steady, eliminates side effects, and maximizes benefits.
Gratitude today for what’s working! 🏅

Struggling with GLP-1 side effects? Find relief and balance with my targeted nutrient support plan.

As a Primal Wellness Coach, I've navigated through the supplement confusion and crafted a plan that:

· Truly complements your biology.
· Avoids the trendy "miracle powder" hype.
· Allows you to take most supplements at the same time (because who has the time for multiple supplement schedules?).
· Focuses on what your body truly needs, without fillers, sweeteners, or unnecessary ingredients (unlike those flashy new powders and shakes that seem more like money-grabs).

Our bodies need targeted support during this journey. Here’s what we’re focusing on:
Physical & Emotional Wellness - with the most bioavailable nutrients from nature.
True Hydration - beyond basic water or sports drinks (crucial during GLP-1!).
Deep Tissue Hydration - supporting skin elasticity and comfort during weight changes.
Protein Goals - with easily absorbed animal-based protein that supports your gut, joints, and skin.
Deeper Nutrient Insurance - for those days when your appetite is lower.
Digestive Flow - to keep everything moving smoothly.
Comfortable Regularity - with gentle, effective support.

Each supplement is carefully chosen to support your body during this journey – no random ingredients, no marketing fluff, just what works.

HUGE HUGE HUGE Stackable Xtrema sale

Ever feel like you're putting together a 1000-piece weight loss puzzle but keep coming up short? *Awkwardly shuffles puzzle pieces*

If you've been focusing on nutrient-dense diet, movement, hormone balance, and sleep but still not seeing the results you want, there might be a piece hiding in plain sight: your cookware.

Living with Hashimoto's has taught me that recovery is truly a multi-layered puzzle. When the conventional approaches weren't enough, I had to look deeper — including at the very tools I was using to prepare my healthy meals.

Think about it: we're so careful about what goes INTO our food, but what about what might be leaching INTO our food while cooking?

Those convenient non-stick pans can:

😒 Release compounds that interfere with our already-sensitive hormonal balance

😒 Add to our daily inflammatory load (something those of us with inflammation and autoimmune issues really don't need)

😒 Create subtle obstacles to recovery that accumulate over time

It's like trying to bail water out of a boat while there's still a tiny hole in the bottom. No matter how perfectly you eat/move/supplement, these hidden exposures can keep you treading water.

This is why I'm genuinely excited to share this Xtrema sale (ENDS 3/16 OR WHILE SUPPLIES LAST). Their pure ceramic cookware has been a game-changer for those who are "doing everything right":

I personally recommend the Skillet, Fry & Saute Set (4 pc) for its versatility. It includes an 11-Inch Signature Skillet, 10-Inch Traditions Sauté Pan with Lid, and 9.5-Inch Frying Pan.

Just a heads up: At the time of writing this post (9:30am CST 3/12) less than 10 sets remain at this price!!

The 3pc Signature Sauté Set is also wonderful (and also running low).

Sometimes the simplest changes can help complete the picture.
Transferring the contents of a GLP-1 pen into a sterile vial can be useful for several reasons:

Microdosing: It allows for smaller, more precise doses that are not possible with the fixed doses provided by the pen.

Dose Management: You can manage the dose more accurately, tailoring it to your specific needs and gradually adjusting it as needed.

Flexibility: It provides the flexibility to administer the medication in smaller amounts over time, rather than using up the pen all at once.

Consistency: Ensures you have a consistent concentration of the medication for each dose.

Cost Efficiency: You can maximize the use of the medication and potentially reduce waste, making it more cost-effective.

By transferring the medication to a vial, you gain more control over how much you use and when, which can be particularly helpful for managing your treatment plan effectively

To safely open a GLP-1 pen and transfer its contents into a sterile vial for microdosing, follow these steps:

Gather Supplies:

GLP-1 pen
Sterile vial
Sterile syringe and needle
Alcohol swabs
Sterile gloves
Sharps disposal container

Prepare Your Workspace:

Clean your workspace thoroughly.
Wash your hands with soap and water.
Put on sterile gloves.

Prepare the GLP-1 Pen:

Remove the cap from the GLP-1 pen.
Use an alcohol swab to clean the rubber stopper on the pen.

Draw the Medication:

Attach a sterile needle to a sterile syringe.
Insert the needle into the rubber stopper of the GLP-1 pen.
Draw the desired amount of medication into the syringe.

Transfer to Sterile Vial:

Clean the rubber stopper of the sterile vial with an alcohol swab.
Insert the needle into the sterile vial and slowly inject the medication.
Remove the needle and dispose of it in a sharps container.

Store the Vial:

Label the vial with the medication name and date.
Store the vial in a refrigerator between 2-8°C (36-46°F).
Remember, always follow proper sterile techniques and consult with a healthcare professional if you have any doubts or concerns. Safety first!

Emerging case studies reveal a nervous system connection some patients experience on GLP-1.

👀 Full paper: t.me/primalpeps/518

While GLP-1 medications have transformed weight management, metabolism, and inflammation for many, a small subset of patients experience a troubling side effect that persists even after discontinuation: severe anxiety. 😰

As someone studying these interactions, I've been tracking this fascinating connection between GLP-1 medications and the autonomic nervous system. 🔍

My hypothesis is that it's not just "medication sensitivity" 🤔

Research indicates these medications may influence neurotransmitter pathways and brainstem function in susceptible individuals. 🧪

This explains why common doses as well as m!crod0ses can trigger anxiety responses in some patients (but not in others), while others still experience the reaction months after stopping treatment (while others recover shortly after stopping GLP-1 or after switching t m!crod0sing). ⏱️

Key factors emerging from the research:
→ Brainstem and nervous system responses to GLP-1 stimulation 🧠
→ Interactions with adrenal function and HPA axis regulation ⚡️
→ Potential exacerbation in those with pre-existing conditions ⚠️

For those affected, this creates a frustrating paradox - choosing between metabolic health and mental wellbeing shouldn't be necessary. 🔄

The good news? Integrative approaches combining ancestral wisdom with modern research show promise for supporting the nervous system while still achieving weight management and anti-inflammatory goals.

If you've experienced anxiety with GLP-1 medications or know someone who has, there may be alternative pathways worth exploring. Our bodies aren't broken - they're communicating in ways that deserve our attention. 💗

Check out these alternative pathways by reading the new research paper here: https://t.me/primalpeps/518

💚 Choosing the WRONG supplements is the biggest mistake when wanting to support your autoimmune body without making things worse!

tinyurl.com/3arf9m2b

A common mistake most people make is that they believe all "natural" supplements are automatically safe for autoimmune conditions. Just because it's trendy in the biohacking world doesn't mean it's right for YOUR unique body.

It makes sense - we're all desperate for that energy boost and cellular support, especially when dealing with the chronic fatigue struggle bus (all aboard! 🚌).

The REALITY is... some popular biohacking supplements like methylene blue (which modulates your immune system) and phycocyanin can actually mess with your already confused immune system, potentially triggering those dreaded flares we all know too well.

And get this - a recent article just revealed methylene blue might literally stain your brain and organs BLUE! (I mean, I love blue, but not for my internal organs! 😅)

By switching to mulberry leaf chlorophyll, you get similar cellular and mitochondrial benefits WITHOUT the immune system freakout from phycocyanin. It's like getting all the cool kids' benefits without the cool kids' drama.

The way to get out of this is by choosing supplements that support detoxification and cellular health WITHOUT poking the autoimmune bear or potentially playing coloring book with your innards. Because honestly, that bear is grumpy enough already!

When you understand which alternatives actually work for YOUR body type, you can finally start recovering without taking two steps back for every step forward.

Ready to learn how to biohack more safely with an autoimmune condition?

Be sure to read my new blog post that walks you through exactly how to support your cells without triggering your immune system. Your energy levels will thank you. 💚

Jay Campbell’s Q&A with Attorney Jeff Cohen

Q1: How did you get into health optimization law?
A: Jeff got into health optimization law through personal experience—overcoming lifelong asthma and health issues. His curiosity led him into working with clinicians focused on wellness, peptides, regenerative medicine, and beyond.

Q2: What’s actually happening right now with GLP-1 compounding pharmacies and the FDA?
A: Mass confusion. The FDA announced the shortage is over, yet big pharma companies (Novo and Eli Lilly) are actively suing compounding pharmacies. There’s no clear consensus yet, leading many compounders to continue despite regulatory uncertainty.

Q3: Will compounding pharmacies really stop offering compounded GLP-1 peptides?
A: Unlikely. The demand remains enormous. Most pharmacies will continue supplying it, anticipating ongoing legal battles.

Q4: If a compounder stops offering GLP-1, should a patient or clinician just find another pharmacy?
A: Yes. Patients still have options, as many compounders plan to keep supplying due to continued high demand.

Q5: As a healthcare provider, can you legally protect yourself when patients choose research peptides on their own?
A: Provide thorough informed consent, clearly document risks, and maintain detailed patient records. A clear patient-provider relationship (diagnose, prescribe, treat, document) is key to liability protection.

Q6: Can patient handouts stating “research-only” limit your liability as a clinician?
A: No. You need actual informed consent through discussion, Q&A, documentation, and ensuring patients fully understand the risks.

Q7: As a personal trainer or health coach, what’s the best way to talk to clients about peptides without risking liability?
A: Stick strictly to general suggestions. Say: “Do your own research—this could be interesting to explore.” Avoid prescribing dosages or giving direct medical advice.

Q8: Do individual consumers face legal risks buying peptides for personal use?
A: Enforcement usually targets providers or businesses selling peptides—not individual end-users. Still, buyers should verify the quality for their own safety.

Q9: Is it legally safer to have a licensed doctor or medical professional handling peptide recommendations in your wellness practice?
A: Absolutely. Licensed healthcare providers who diagnose, prescribe, and document clearly reduce your liability exposure.

Q10: Should clinicians exhaust traditional medical treatments first before considering peptide therapies?
A: Not necessarily. Many physicians combine traditional (allopathic) care and functional medicine right from the start. Integrative approaches often yield the best results.

Q11: Do you see peptides becoming more accessible through clinicians, or will they mostly remain in the research-only realm?
A: Peptides are far more likely to expand clinically, driven by patient demand and physician adoption. Research peptides will remain fringe but influential in sparking broader clinical use.

Q12: Could RFK Jr.’s potential presidency impact FDA regulations and peptide availability?
A: Possibly. RFK Jr. advocates strongly for alternative health solutions and reforming FDA processes. He could drive significant changes toward broader accessibility.

Q13: Is the current FDA approval process too slow for innovative medical advancements, and is it harming innovation?
A: Definitely. The FDA system is outdated, slow, expensive, and heavily influenced by deep-pocketed pharma companies, stifling smaller innovators.

Q14: Will we ever see peptides available over the counter in pharmacies?
A: Possibly in the long term—especially as peptides become available in nasal sprays or oral forms. Injectable forms are unlikely to become OTC soon due to regulatory definitions.

Q15: What should peptide companies selling research chemicals do to protect themselves legally?
A: Labeling peptides as “for research only” is not enough. Companies should genuinely collect data and show evidence of research usage.
5 Integrative Steps to Work With Your Doctor on Root Causes

Following up on our wardrobe analogy from last week about peptides enhancing rather than fixing underlying health issues, here are 5 practical steps to take with your healthcare provider for each root cause mentioned:

Hormonal Deficiencies
• Request comprehensive hormone panel testing (beyond basic thyroid)
• Discuss bioidentical hormone replacement options if appropriate
• Explore lifestyle factors affecting hormone balance (stress, sleep, exercise)
• Consider food-based approaches to support hormone production
• Develop a monitoring plan with regular testing to track improvements

Autoimmune Issues
• Ask for specific autoimmune markers and inflammatory testing *For autoimmune thyroid testing: app.palomahealth.com/referral/PRIMALSAM
• Work on an elimination diet protocol to identify trigger foods *Make it easy with my cookbooks: https://primalsam.com/my-books/
• Request comprehensive gut health assessment (microbiome, permeability)
• Discuss low-dose naltrexone and other integrative approaches
• Create a personalized supplement plan targeting your specific condition *Save ongoing 25% in my dispensary: us.fullscript.com/welcome/steague

Type 2 Diabetes
• Go beyond A1C with continuous glucose monitoring
• Establish a metabolic health plan combining nutrition and movement *Movement with chronic illness tips here: primalsam.com/how-i-exercise-with-autoimmune-disease/
• Discuss medication approaches that support rather than hinder fat loss
• Set measurable goals for insulin sensitivity improvement
• Address sleep and stress as critical factors affecting glucose control

Cognitive Problems
• Request comprehensive cognitive assessment and brain health markers
• Develop a sleep optimization strategy with measurable outcomes *Read this post about blue light: primalsam.com/is-all-blue-light-harmful-to-our-health/
• Test for environmental toxin exposure and detoxification capacity
• Explore targeted nutrition for neurological support
• Create a brain training regimen alongside physical exercise

Inflammation Reduction (Critical for All)
• Test for inflammatory markers (CRP, homocysteine, etc.) *DM me if you need labs ordered, though as a health coach I'm unable to review them for you since I am not a doctor*
• Identify personal inflammation triggers through elimination protocols
• Create an anti-inflammatory nutrition plan with specific foods *Enjoy my ancestral recipes here: primalsam.com/category/recipes/
• Address stress management with measurable reduction techniques
• Implement targeted supplementation based on your specific inflammatory patterns

While peptides like GLP-1, GHRPs, and MOTS-c can enhance your body's natural processes, they work best when the underlying issues are properly addressed. Just like fixing a torn dress rather than just covering it with accessories, addressing these root causes creates a foundation for true health.

Selank - The Stress-Proof Brain Peptide

In our constantly connected, high-stimulus world, cognitive performance under stress has become the ultimate competitive advantage. Enter Selank, a peptide developed by Russian researchers that might be the ultimate brain-protective compound for our modern lifestyle.

Unlike traditional anti-anxiety medications that often come with brain fog or decreased alertness, Selank operates through a fascinating mechanism: it stabilizes enkephalins (the body's natural anxiety-regulating compounds) while simultaneously promoting nerve growth factor. The result? Reduced stress and anxiety paired with enhanced cognitive clarity—the holy grail of modern performance.

What makes Selank particularly relevant for research is its ability to protect cognitive function during periods of intense stress or sleep deprivation. Research subjects (RS) show maintained focus and emotional stability during high-pressure situations, improved memory retention, and enhanced verbal fluidity.

Some RS even describe it as "stress-proofing" the brain—allowing them to process emotionally charged situations with the calm clarity typically achieved only through years of meditation practice. In a world that's constantly demanding more from our cognitive resources, Selank represents a fascinating tool for maintaining peak mental performance even when life cranks up the pressure!

Potential Side Effects: Research indicates possible mild drowsiness initially, headaches, changes in blood pressure, and allergic reactions. Due to effects on neurotransmitters, caution is advised regarding potential interactions with psychiatric medications or pre-existing mental health conditions.
