I investigated this trendy GLP-1 supplement so you don't have to... πŸ‘€

There are quite a few "GLP-1 supplements" popping up due to the success of weight loss peptides. *Replenza* was recently brought to my attention by a lovely lady inside our channel, so I wanted to dive in and check out the ingredients to see if their (ahem, pricy) blends were worth the hype.

Here are my thoughts:

πŸ‘€ 1) While the "Daily Nutritional Supplement" does have a nice blend of vitamins, I see some ingredients that could be problematic:

a. Ashwaghanda: while this can be beneficial for those struggling with cortisol dysfunction and mood disorders (I take it myself for both) it can be something the body becomes dependent upon (ie, mental wellness withdrawals, adrenal crashes) if it is stopped suddenly.

b. Black pepper extract (aka bioperine): While it can help with absorption with certain vitamins and supplements, it can also be very harsh on the gut. And since digestive function is already being altered a bit with GLP-1 , this might be a bad combination.

c. Probiotics: While beneficial in food form (sauerkraut, kimchi, yogurt), OTC supplemental probiotics can lead to further microbiome imbalance especially when we haven't had out specific bacteria levels and species examined with a comprehensive gut panel. The wrong kind of probiotic for an individual's microbiome might make an existing imbalance worse, leading to gas, gut pain, fibromyalgia, etc.

d. Wheat and Soy: The fact these are in a digestive supplement in the first place is baffling to me, since these are two allergens are extremely common food intolerance ingredients, and can be disruptive to gut and hormones, respectively.

πŸ‘€ 2) I see some good ingredients going on with the "Daily Replenisher", though their benefits might be outweighed by problems triggered by other ingredients:

a. Bovine collagen - awesome! But only 2.5 grams, when most women need around 90 grams per day.

b. Prebiotics: Touted as necessary for probiotic benefits, we tend to get plenty of prebiotic naturally by eating some sweet potato, banana, cucumber, etc. The fiber in supplemental prebiotics can be quite difficult to digest as well, leading to gas, bloating, and GI pain.

c. Electrolyte blend: I'm looking specifically at the Magnesium citrate. This cheap mag is (in my opinion) best saved for colonoscopies, and even then I feel magnesium oxide would be a better, less painful experience! Mag citrate is knows to cause gas, bloating, and GI / colon cramping. Mag oxide, mag malate, and/or mag glycinate are much gentler on and supportive for the GI.

d. Natural flavor: While these are extracted from plants, bugs, or animals, they could be nearly anything literally and the company does not have to legally disclose it to you, for example. For example, a secretion called "castoreum" which is extracted from the castor sacs located near a beaver's anal glands is a natural "raspberry-like flavor" (just one gross example).

βš–οΈ Verdict: Personally, I would avoid these for the reasons above.

✨ Solution: I used my primal wellness coaching skills to put together a GLP-1 Support Plan for you! The supplements in the plan are a lower cost (when viewed from a per-serving lens), higher quality approach to get nutrients in that are more in alignment with human biology. Most of them can be taken at the same time early in the day, creating a simplified supplemental routine.

Non Big Pharma approaches with peptides that have shown potential in different ways within cancer research:

*Not medical advice. Research, studies, and hypotheses only.*

PNC27 targets and disrupts cancer cell membranes, leading to cell death.

AICAR activates AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK), which inhibits the mTOR pathway, leading to cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in cancer cells.

P21 is a cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor that can induce cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in cancer cells.

LL37 has antimicrobial properties and can induce apoptosis in cancer cells, making it a potential therapeutic agent.

Hexarelin Acetate shows promise in modulating immune responses and potentially targeting cancer cells, though research is still ongoing.

πŸ“ Round 2 of HRT, but with a fresh strategy: switching from T cream to injections and adding estrogen tablets this time, and adding back P capsules. Because sometimes we need to pivot until we find what works.

Lab results don't lie... and after 9 years of LOW-LOW hormone levels (despite reducing inflammation and thyroid antibodies), I'm choosing to work smarter, not harder.

πŸ‘©β€πŸ”¬ Here's the science drop:

βœ”οΈ When progesterone shows up at menopausal levels (<20) and this is combined with symptoms of adrenal fatigue, it could mean your adrenals are stealing from your hormone bank to make cortisol.
βœ”οΈThink of it like your body taking an emergency loan to handle stress.
βœ”οΈThis could explain why my adrenals are again overly sensitive and in overdrive despite all the recovery work.

πŸ‘€ More insight:
Low hormones can lead to low energy, weight gain, and advanced aging.

At 44, with perimenopause knocking, I'm expanding my hormone support toolkit. Some days I struggle with needing more support - shouldn't my body handle this naturally? Other days I'm completely at peace with doing whatever it takes to feel alive again.

πŸ”Ž Both lenses come in and out of focus, and that's okay.

Quality of life isn't about doing it alone - it's about doing what works.

Drop a πŸ’Š if you've ever felt conflicted about needing medication/supplements, or share your hormone journey below. Let's normalize this conversation!

Raise your hand if you went a little overboard with the Christmas cookies! (It's me, I'm raising my hand. πŸ™‹β€β™€οΈ)

No shame, no guilt - here's my gentle bounce-back plan that loves on your body while staying true to your wellness goals!

My "Day After Too Many [insert your holiday indulgence here] πŸ˜…" reset:

πŸ‹ Morning kickstart: Lemon water + decaf fatty collagen coffee, no sweetener (gets things "moving," IFYWIM!)

πŸ’‰ Lypoh-Cee vitamin/mineral blend for liver love and gentle detox boost. Learn more about its fat loss and metabolism benefits here: https://t.me/primalpeps/412

🍳 Breakfast: 4 eggs with roasted root veggies (hello, stable blood sugar from fat, protein, and slow-burn carbs!)

πŸ₯€ Snack attack? Sparkling water + handful of dry-roasted nuts -or- beef jerky

πŸ– Lunch: Big juicy burger with mustard + crunchy carrot sticks

β˜•οΈ Afternoon pick-me-up: Another fatty collagen coffee because self-care.

🍠 Dinner: Keeping it easy and cozy with leftover Christmas ham + mashed sweet potato

Why this works?

The protein + healthy fats help regulate blood sugar, while the minerals and whole foods can naturally support my body's own detox systems.

Plus, zero guilt means zero stress hormones!

Remember: One day of treats doesn't derail your journey. Your body knows exactly what to do - just give it some extra TLC! πŸ’•

🌿 Let's talk about that shiny "New Year, New You" energy that has you going ALL IN... only to burn out by February.

Here's a wild thought: What if we took it down a notch and vibed with our biology instead?

Your ancestors didn't crush 5am HIIT classes or meal prep 27 identical containers.

They just... lived. Moved their bodies. Ate real food. Slept when it got dark.

Radical idea: Start with tiny, sustainable tweaks that feel good:

* Catch some morning sunlight
* Move a little more naturally
* Eat actual food you enjoy
* Get decent sleep
* Touch grass (literally)

The secret to lasting change? Working with your body, not against it.

Ready to get primal... but make it modern? 😏

Truth bomb: Without tuning into our body's quantum nature and embracing joy, our wellness and weight goals become an uphill battle. We end up fighting against our own biology instead of flowing with it.

✨ Your body is a magnificent quantum ecosystem that thrives on joy! Science shows us that positive emotions literally light up our cells.

When you laugh, dance, or simply breathe in fresh morning air, you're not just feeling good - you're optimizing your body's natural intelligence.

Remember: Your wellness and weight journey isn't about restriction - it's about expansion. Expand your joy. Expand your awareness. Expand into the fullness of life.

Take a moment today to do something that makes your heart sing. Your cells are listening. Your body will thank you with sustainable, lasting changes that actually feel good. 🌱✨

🚨 There's Hope For Your Metabolism (Even With Fatigue)

Struggling with fatigue + weight that won't budge? I discovered 4 gentle ways to support your metabolism that actually work (even when you can barely get out of bed).

πŸ‘‰ No intense workouts
πŸ‘‰ No restrictive diets
πŸ‘‰ Works WITH your tired body

As someone with Hashimoto's who could barely function, I get it. The usual advice feels impossible when you're exhausted.

That's why I'm sharing exactly how I:
✨ Stabilized my energy without crazy workouts
✨ Supported my metabolism while honoring my fatigue
✨ Found tools that actually helped

And the best part? You can start where you are, even on your worst days.

Working on a little something for y'all! Getting so close to being done!

πŸ”¬ Let's talk testosterone, ladies…

I organized my hand written notes from a podcast featuring PA McPhereson, and let me tell you - we need to chat about the "T" word!

Here's the T tea: Conventional medicine often acts like testosterone is just "for the boys" but…

NEWSFLASH - women make testosterone too! And when our levels drop, it's no picnic. 🎒

My scribbled research shows how integrative & functional medicine is finally giving women's testosterone the attention it deserves! Because guess what? When our T is low, we might experience:

β€’ That "meh" feeling about intimacy 😴
β€’ Stubborn weight that won't budge 😀
β€’ Energy levels in the basement πŸ”‹
β€’ Mood swings that make us question everything 🎭
β€’ Muscle strength? What muscle strength? πŸ’ͺ

The hormone cascade is real, hun! When our adrenals are stressed, progesterone drops, and that can lead to low T. It's all connected!

The good news? There are options! From strength training πŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈ to proper hormone testing to comprehensive adrenal support - we've got tools in our toolkit.

Here are my translated notes from the podcast if you're interested:

Reference Ranges & Symptoms:
β€’ Symptoms: fatigue, hair loss, libido, depression
β€’ Conservative approach to optimal women's T levels: between 30-50 on labs

Hormonal Cascade:
β€’ Adrenal fatigue β†’ Low progesterone
β€’ Low progesterone β†’ Low testosterone
β€’ Low T β†’ Reduced libido & exercise capacity

Treatment Considerations:
β€’ Strength training important for hormone balance
β€’ "All in" adrenal support needed
β€’ Check if estrogen is high

Key Monitoring:
β€’ Regular lab work needed to assess levels during T therapy
β€’ Consider a progressive approach to dosing (dosing amounts not mentioned)

*Important note: These are just my personal research notes from the podcast - not medical advice! Always work with a qualified healthcare provider for your unique situation.
