Reason #5,163 that itβs OK to get a little extra help! Loss of gallbladder likely linked to metabolic dysfunction:
There is research suggesting a potential link between gallbladder removal and metabolic changes, including an increased risk of developing metabolic syndrome, which encompasses conditions like insulin resistance, obesity, and abnormal fat levels in the blood.
Specifically, some studies indicate that individuals who have had their gallbladder removed may be more prone to insulin resistance.
This could be due to alterations in bile acidsβ action in the bowel, which affects glucose and cholesterol metabolism.

Q: Any info for peptides and helping a sluggish GB and liver?
A: Yes! β€οΈ Retatrutide was shown in a study to reverse fatty liver disease in over 80% of participants receiving the peptide.
LIPO-C is an injectable that contains ingredients like Methionine, Inositol, and Choline that experts say may support the liver.
Scientific analysis of MOTS-c revealed reduced liver cell death (apoptosis), inflammation, and fibrosis.

π A researcher very special to me struggles with scleroderma, an autoimmune disease that not only causes scarring and hardening of the skin but also all organ systems.
I've been doing research on which peptide might be beneficial for this type of autoimmunity, and what I found out about KPV as a potential therapeutic was very promising! π¬
Here's a sneak peek of what's inside your newest document:
π "KPV (Lysine-Proline-Valine): This is a peptide derived from alpha-MSH. It has some benefits, like reducing inflammation and supporting the immune system.
KPV acts by decreasing pro-inflammatory cytokines without boosting anti-inflammatory cytokines.
π Fibrosis: Fibrosis is the process where excess collagen builds up in tissues, causing scarring and stiffness.
π Melanocortin Agonists: These compounds, including KPV, can influence inflammation and fibrosis. KPV doesnβt work directly through melanocortin receptors but inhibits a molecule called IL-1Ξ² within cells.
IL-1Ξ² contributes to fibrosis in various organs, including the lung and skin.
π Impact on Fibrosis: While KPV might have antifibrotic properties, more research is needed to fully understand its effects on fibrosis."
*Remember that this research is simply my hypothesis, inklings, curiosity, and ADHD-hyperfocus-determination guided by others' research, articles, and medical studies. It is not medical advice and should not be taken as such.

Can Gallbladder Removal Surgery Mess with Your Hormones?
It's not common to have a hormone imbalance after gallbladder removal surgery. But there are some connections between hormones and the gallbladder.
Retatrutide, an alternative to tirzepatide with potentially fewer side effects?
Retatrutide works by stimulating lipolysis, or breaking down fat cells, as well as reducing hunger cravings. Clinical trials have shown that retatrutide-treated research subjects lost significantly more body weight than those treated with a placebo. Additionally, subjects taking retatrutide experienced improvements in blood pressure levels, total cholesterol levels, and triglyceride levels compared to the placebo group.
Both medications also have similar side effects, such as nausea and headache. However, some RSs may find that they experience fewer side effects with Retatrutide than with Tirzepatide due to its lower dose requirements. Retatrutide offers good efficacy with fewer side effects while also being safer at recommended doses; however, Tirzepatide can offer greater reductions in HbA1c levels but can also carry a higher risk of serious side effects if not used properly.
In regard to Reta, the phase 2 double-blind randomized placebo-controlled trial was done where it included subjects with a BMI higher than 30 and BMI of subjects between 27-30 plus at least 1 weight related condition.
They were then divided amongst various groups that received 1 mg, 4 mg, 8 mg, and 12 mg weekly injections. At 48 weeks (about 11 months), there was approximately 9% reduction in weight in the 1 mg group, 17% reduction weight in the 4 mg group, 23% reduction weight in the 8 mg group, and 24% reduction weight and 12 mg group compared to 2.1% reduction in weight in the placebo group.
In regard to the side effect profile, the most common side effect was nausea which went up significantly at the 8 and 12 mg group but a third less in the folks at the 4 mg group.
Interestingly, GI side effects with nausea were remarkably more in RSs taking tirzepatide compared to retatrutide. Tolerance of the retatrutide will lead to more sustained weight loss.
Based on the data, retatrutide will be greatly beneficial for subjects who are intolerant to tirzepatide and or not having the desired reduction in weight and improvement in metabolic health on it. Clearly the data shows that the primary weight loss is seen in subjects who are taking 8 to 12 mg of retatrutide.
So, if we see that subjects are not tolerating tirzepatide, or if they donβt have the desired reduction at higher doses, then we will switch them to retatrutide.
