📣Аликбер Аликберов выступил перед участниками молодежной сессии «Примаковских чтений»

22 июня в преддверии VII молодежной сессии «Примаковских чтений» состоялась встреча участников программы с Аликбером Аликберовым, д.и.н., директором Института востоковедения РАН.

В ходе выступления спикер рассмотрел концепцию государства-цивилизации и ее значение в современном мире, сравнив западную модель развития с подходами незападных стран. При этом он подчеркнул значимость сохранения культурной самобытности и исторических традиций в противовес навязыванию западных ценностей.

Особое внимание российский ученый уделил потенциалу БРИКС в создании альтернативной модели международного взаимодействия, основанной на взаимной выгоде и уважении культурных различий.

Модератором встречи выступил к.и.н., научный руководитель Центра Примакова Руслан Мамедов.

📣Alikber Alikberov addressed participants of the youth session of the "Primakov Readings"

On 22 June, in the run-up to the 7th youth session of the "Primakov Readings", participants of the programme met with Dr Alikber Alikberov, Director of the Institute of Oriental Studies at the Russian Academy of Sciences.

During his speech, the speaker examined the concept of the state-civilisation and its significance in the modern world, comparing the Western model of development with approaches of non-Western countries. He emphasised the importance of preserving cultural identity and historical traditions as opposed to the imposition of Western values.

The Russian scholar paid particular attention to the potential of BRICS in creating an alternative model of international interaction based on mutual benefit and respect for cultural differences.

The meeting was moderated by Ruslan Mamedov, Candidate of Historical Sciences and Scientific Director of the Primakov Centre.

Сегодня в Центре Примакова прошло официальное открытие VII молодежной сессии «Примаковских чтений». В этом году в ней принимает участие 3️⃣0️⃣ исследователей из 1️⃣2️⃣ стран.

С приветственными словами к участникам обратились:

Виктория Карслиева, исполнительный директор Центра Примакова:

«"Примаковские чтения" — это прежде всего возможность установить прямые контакты с ведущими экспертами в области международных отношений. Ежегодно форум собирает весь цвет российской науки. Эксперты открыты к диалогу вне официальных сессий, и это шанс для вас поделиться своими научными достижениями. Опыт показывает, что благодаря "Чтениям" у многих молодых исследователей началась большая научная карьера».

Федор Войтоловский, чл.-корр. РАН, д.полит.н., директор ИМЭМО РАН:

«В этом году "Примаковские чтения" пройдут в юбилейный — 10 — раз, молодежная сессия — в седьмой. Все эти годы мы удерживаем позиции главной российской экспертно-аналитической дискуссионной площадки, сосредоточенной не столько на политических задачах, сколько на взаимодействии научного сообщества. Форум — настоящий праздник мысли для всех его участников: от спикеров на сцене до слушателей в зале. Будьте активными на нем и открытыми к новому общению!»

На протяжении следующих дней участников ждут панельные дискуссии с участием ведущих российских экспертов, а также сессии, где каждый из них представит результаты своих научных исследований.

The Primakov Readings Youth Session is now open! 🎉

Today, the Primakov Center hosted the official opening of the 7th Youth Session of the "Primakov Readings". This year, 3️⃣0️⃣ researchers from 1️⃣2️⃣ countries are taking part in the event.

Victoria Karslieva, Executive Director of the Primakov Center:

"The "Primakov Readings" are, above all, an opportunity to establish direct contacts with leading experts in international relations. Every year, the forum brings together the crème de la crème of Russian academia. Experts are open to dialogue outside of official sessions, and this is your chance to share your scientific achievements. Experience shows that thanks to the "Readings", many young researchers have launched significant academic careers".

Feodor Voitolovsky, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Sciences (Politics), Director of IMEMO:

"This year, the "Primakov Readings" will be held for the 10th time, with the Youth Session being held for the 7th time. Молодежные «Примаковские чтения». День 1

23 июня прошло официальное открытие VII молодежной сессии «Примаковских чтений», проводимой Центром Примакова совместно с Советом молодых ученых и аспирантов ИМЭМО.

📍Тема программы — «Россия в формирующемся миропорядке: вызовы и возможности».

В первый день участников ждали экспертные дискуссии по следующим темам:

🔵«БРИКС+: тренды политического и экономического развития»;

🔵«Большая Евразия: вызовы и перспективы сотрудничества»;

🔵«Глобальный Юг на пороге перемен».

Последняя сессия была приурочена к 95-летию со дня рождения Евгения Примакова. О его наследии рассказала д.и.н., чл.-корр. РАН, проф., руководитель Центра ближневосточных исследований ИМЭМО Ирина Звягельская.

The Primakov Readings Youth Session. Day 1

On 23 June, the official opening of the 7th Youth Session of "Primakov Readings" took place in Moscow, organised by the Primakov Center in collaboration with the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Institute of World Economy and International Relations (IMEMO).

📍The programme's theme is "Russia in the Emerging World Order: Challenges and Opportunities".

On the first day, participants were treated to expert discussions on the following topics:

🔵"BRICS+: Trends in Political and Economic Development";

🔵"Greater Eurasia: Challenges to and Prospects for Cooperation";

🔵"The Global South on the Threshold of Change".

The last session was dedicated to the 95th anniversary of Yevgeny Primakov's birth. His legacy was discussed by Irina Zvyagelskaya, Corresponding Member, Dr. of Science (History), Professor Head of Centre Center for the Middle East Studies at IMEMO.
