Continuing our study of the earth's lithosphere, we now turn our attention to the mountains of our planet. Students of year 5 Geography learn to identify and classify different mountain ranges.

The height, length, and the directions of our mountain ranges play an important role in human civilization. We also learn how the shape of our mountain ranges and inter-mountain structures affects the formations of rivers and lakes. «Life flourishes in the presence of water, and all water begins in the mountains» 🗺
