Last week in the Kindergarten, we delved into the fascinating world of wild animals and their babies!
Exploring this topic was not only exciting but incredibly important for our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 (KS1) learners. Did you know that understanding the relationship between wild animals and their offspring helps develop empathy and appreciation for the natural world?
In our assembly, we put a spotlight on the power of speaking by creating a fun video where our students roamed the halls, discussing their newfound knowledge about wild animals and their babies. Plus, our talented students showcased their creativity by presenting a captivating poem on the same topic!

«Warp and weft» is a new exhibition showcasing beautiful works by 3rd graders.
The students were inspired by the Kente cloth — the traditional or national cloth of Ghana made of hand-woven strips of silk and cotton- and created their vivid and impressive woven paper textile. In modern day Ghana, the wearing of kente cloth has become widespread to commemorate special occasions.
Due to the popularity of kente cloth patterns, production of mass-produced prints with the kente patterns have become popular throughout West Africa, and by extension the whole of Africa. Globally, the print is used in the design of academic stoles in graduation ceremonies.
There are symbolic meanings of the colours. A major part of our children's works has tones of blue colour which is for peacefulness, harmony, and love, and of green colour which is associated with vegetation, planting, harvesting, growth, spiritual renewal. Have a chance to see all of the colours in our exhibition works and to enjoy the intensity!
