At Primakov School, we introduce sounds through the Jolly Phonics program to our students as young as Nursery. We do this through different teaching methods during lesson time. Phonics is a way of teaching children how to read and write. It helps children hear, identify and use different sounds that differentiates one word from another in the English language. To use phonics is to teach the relationship between the sounds of the spoken language, and the letters or groups of letters or syllables of the written language.
One of the methods we use to practice Phonics in our classroom is group work. Small group activities allow our students to develop new social and cognitive skills while interacting and working with their peers. Group work encourages our young students to co-operate with each other, it encourages conversation, compromise, and at times problem solving in order to achieve the same goal.
Today, Nursery BB, practiced the sound 'C' through a group work activity. They were split into three groups by selecting a number from a cup. Once in their groups, they were tasked with decorating a sound 'C' poster. They did a great job working together in their groups

Трудности и радости содержания черепах в домашних условиях школе 🐢
На попечении гимназистов оказалась брошенная средиземноморская черепаха Мандаринка. На теле измождённого животного было много повреждений.
Реабилитация под руководством учителя биологии Александра Молчанова проходила в несколько этапов:
✔️ восстановление аппетита и иммунитета посредством внесения витаминного раствора животному через рот;
✔️ залечивание ран на коже и панцире с помощью аппликаций и мазей для рептилий;
✔️ удаление части разросшегося клюва и когтей.
На протяжении всего времени восстановления черепаха находилась в террариуме с УФ-лампой. Благодарим ребят, ухаживавших за Мандаринкой! Животное — здорОво!

🎭 Our young students from Class 1C prepare for their dance battle in the upcoming class performance — Magical Musicland.
Their dance moves are expertly choreographed by Miss Julia while Mr. Hugh motivates the Isle of Rock residents to dance in time to Queen's Classic "We Will Rock You". They have also been busy rehearsing their lines as well as their songs. We wish all our young actors success on stage when they appear later this year.
