You may have heard about the ongoing OCBC SMS Scam. Till date, we have seen about *469* victims who has fallen prey to such scams and *S$8.5 million* has been lost from this scam.
Police have issued another Police News Release to share on the common SMS being received by victims - https://www.police.gov.sg/media-room/news/20211230_police_advisory_on_phishing_text_messages_targeting_ocbc_bank_customers
OCBC has also shared that they will not be sending out SMSes containing bitly links - https://www.ocbc.com/personal-banking/security/security-advisory?pid=Onlinesecurity::SecurityAdvisory::MBApp::16Dec2021::SMSPhishingscams
