Scammers use fake personas (e.g. police officer, government/bank officials) to convince you to part with your hard-earned money!! 😱🤯
Don’t panic!
Don’t believe without checking!
*Don’t transfer money or reveal your bank details / OTP!*
✅ Check if the incoming call has a “+65” prefix, as local calls will not contain such “+” prefixes
✅ Verify request by calling the official agency/company hotlines

Scammers create fake social media profiles and entice victims into false sense of love and relationship with incessant sweet nothings.
They then fabricate *sob stories, get-rich schemes or promises of gifts and visits* to manipulate victims into making monetary transactions, but they all lead to the same outcome… leaving the victims with a broken heart and an empty pocket! 💔 💸
_Before you act_
✅ Confide in your family members or friends

_Gift cards make great presents for a number of reasons but not in this case…_
If a stranger who you befriended online asks you to *purchase gift cards* (e.g. *iTunes, GooglePlay*) or transfer money to him/her before meeting up, it’s a big red flag for *SCAM* 🚨 It’s next to impossible to recover your money once you reveal the codes for the gift cards! 💸
✅ Be extremely wary of any request to use gift cards for payment
