Me: secretly annoyed that our coward cat is seemingly less scared of the rainstorm outside than I am and is just vibing while looking at a box
The cat: suddenly jumps back, scared of the box
My pride: restored

Okay but think about this: you get up, make yourself a coffee, try to sway the clouds from slumber away from your brain.
You hear the cat make his noises tho, so you give himb water and a kiss. All is better now.
And this happens everyday. The cat is always there. Marvelous.
