TW: femicide, gender violence, heavy themes and tone

I am angry. I am fucking angry and I have nothing to say, I just need to vomit my feelings because I feel so tired. We all feel so tired.
Some days ago an Italian girl, Giulia Cecchettin, 22 years old, a student who was close to graduating, disappeared. Her boyfriend disappeared too, news said, maybe an elopement, they said.
It was not a convincing explanation, and news knew so too when they started insisting on how the boyfriend was such a good guy even before the news about her wanting to break up, him controlling her, not wanting her to graduate.
We didn't know yet, yet we couldn't say we expected something different than what happened. We were just waiting, a weight on our stomachs that no "his family says he wouldn't hurt a fly" could make less heavy.
Then they found her body, but not his. Still, media liked to fantasize about the guy offing himself, the burden of the guilt too strong for someone who was such a good kid, yes maybe a bit depressed, but he cared about her so much! He even baked her cookies!
He was found, in the end, trying to escape to Germany. He had a knife and trash bags in his car, but we're still spoonfed with the idea he didn't plan it. It happened, and if Giulia really wanted to break up with him why did she accept to meet him in the first place? She had to be more careful. Lots of men are saying that no, not all of them, they would never do it, and it's offensive to mention such a thing. This guy becoming at once both the nicest guy you'll ever meet, just caring a bit too much, and a monstrous scapegoat that no man ever could relate too.
In the meantime, failing to scrutinize Giulia, people started to scrutinize her sister, Elena, for pointing out a systemic problem, for being too much on social media instead of suffering in private, I shit you not for her aesthetic on social media, the things she wears during interviews.

I am tired, yes, but mostly I'm angry, disgusted and exhausted. The things I am seeing right now in the media and on social media, posted by people who believe they are righteous in the face of a girl killed for trying to escape an abusive relationship. It's so much. And still, I am lucky because I am just witnessing those things.

Edit: he was her ex boyfriend, they had broken up already
Also, for corrections and more infos read the comment section, some people made interesting observations
