Chelsea recorded the largest pre-tax loss ever reported in English football during the 2024–25 season, according to figures released by UEFA.

The losses were detailed in UEFA’s annual European Club Finance and Investment Landscape report, which ranks the 10 clubs with the biggest financial deficits each season. Chelsea FC finished at the bottom of that list, with their figures standing out well above the rest.

In the club’s third full year under the ownership group led by Clearlake Capital and Todd Boehly, Chelsea posted a €407m pre-tax loss, highlighting the unprecedented scale of their financial shortfall.
