Vide notification dated 29 September 2020, ESIC has been made applicable to establishments (shops, offices, warehouse, hotels, restaurants, transport establishments, cinemas & newspaper establishments) employing 10 or more persons currently or in any of the last 12 months, located in covered areas in the State of Maharashtra w.e.f. 1 October 2020.
Earlier this limit was 20 or more employees in Maharashtra.
ESIC guidelines for COVID safe workplace
Vide notification dated 29 September 2020, ESIC has been made applicable to establishments (shops, offices, warehouse, hotels, restaurants, transport establishments, cinemas & newspaper establishments) employing 10 or more persons currently or in any of the last 12 months, located in covered areas in the State of Maharashtra w.e.f. 1 October 2020.
