PRAYER
Eternal Father, sovereign author of all life and love, we are grateful beyond words that You have named us Your beloved children, brought into Your divine family through the precious blood of Your one and only begotten Son, our perfect Redeemer.
As morning light breaks upon Your creation, we marvel at this sacred privilege - that we, though once falling short, are today to be called Your sons and daughters through faith. In You alone we find our true identity, unchanging and secure while earthly definitions shift like sand.
Holy Father, gathering as families in Your presence, we humbly repent of our sins and shortcomings, acknowledging that we daily fall short of Your glory. We thank You that through Christ's finished work on the cross, we stand forgiven in Your sight. Our hearts overflow with gratitude for the faith You've preserved through generations.
Today we pray that You pour out Your Holy Spirit upon our homes and those of our families, where ever they may be. When cultural winds howl against Your truth, let us and our loved ones stand unshaken, anchored in Your eternal Word. Grant us wisdom as we guide our children of all ages in Your ways, that they may continue to grow strong in faith and bold in witness, always ready to give a Good answer for the hope that lies within them.
As we step into this week's responsibilities, strengthen our hands for the work You've given. When we do not feel strong enough, remind us that Your grace proves sufficient in every trial, just as Your Word promises. Unite us in deeper fellowship with other believers, that together we may display the beauty of Your gospel to a searching world.
We confess our daily need for Your mercy and rest secure in Your faithful care, knowing that You who called us Your own will complete the good work You began in each heart, all for Your eternal glory.
In the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

PRAYER
Sovereign Father, author of all life and truth, we pray in Your Holy presence, thankful that we are called Your sons and daughters. In You alone we are unchanging and secure while earthly foundations crumble away.
We pray today for Your Spirit's presence to fill us anew, transforming our quiet devotions into living testimonies of Your glory. When storms of culture rage against eternal truth, let our hearts remain anchored deep within Your Word, secure as mountains in Your mighty hand.
We bring before You our precious families, from the littlest ones first discovering Your wonder through those who now guide their own children towards Your truth. Grant them wisdom as they lead, and may Your light illuminate their every step.
Father, as we face unprecedented challenges, examine our hearts and purify us for Your purposes. When darkness gathers, grant us wisdom to pursue both justice and grace, so we may protect the innocent while extending Your redemptive love to all who seek You.
We sense Your presence moving among us.
We pray that You fill us with such confidence in Your truth that no earthly power can dim our witness.
And when voices rise against Your teaching, we pray that You will multiply Your message through channels You alone can open.
As we enter this week's journey, we pray for strength that will meet the challenges of our responsibilities, grateful for Your sovereign care.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

A Prayer of Thanksgiving for the Life of Dr. James Dobson
April 21, 1936 - August 21, 2025
Written in remembrance by Jeffrey Peterson
Almighty God, in this season of Holy reflection, we honor the faithful servant You have called home. He was an unyielding champion of the divine ordinance of marriage, raising children, and the absolute Truth of Your Word.
Through decades of steadfast spiritual and cultural warfare, waging battle not against flesh and blood but against the powers of darkness that assail our nation and the family, he stood as a beacon, bringing both professional wisdom and Your Truth to families through broadcasts, books, and bold advocacy.
And though he now rests in Your eternal presence, his legacy resounds in countless homes and throughout our culture, forever transformed by Your redeeming grace.
Let us pause for a moment of silence to reflect.
And now empower us to be steadfast witnesses in these pivotal days, Father,
So that we may faithfully protect the sacred Truths You've entrusted to us while extending Your boundless grace to a weary and wandering world.
In the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,
Amen.

Eternal Father, as the enemy seeks to shatter young lives in our schools and corrupt our nation's heritage, we rise in prayer to You.
We sense Your presence moving like wind across these troubled waters, Your mercy flowing through this broken land.
How we marvel at Your faithfulness.

Draw us closer to You, Lord, and sustain us in the week ahead.
Let Your peace that exceeds human understanding guard our hearts, as we witness Your hand restoring order through righteous leadership and Your Spirit awakening hearts to eternal truth in Christ Jesus.

PRAYER
Almighty God in Heaven,
Today we weep, for our friend has been taken so suddenly from us.
We are hurting, Father, deep in our souls.
Our friend who worked constantly to fix our broken land was martyred for his witness.
We who found comfort and hope through his faithful presenceβwe weep deeply in sorrow at this loss, we cry out now when we see his empty chair.
Lord, we did not expect this void.
We turn to You, praying for Your comfort and strength, that You will be with us through the valley ahead.
Let us rejoice, knowing his song of praise that began when he first knew You as Lord will continue into eternity.
Through his faith in You, he showed us Your transformative love in action, as he became a guide to countless hearts, an inspiration to many who needed hope, and a beloved father.
He was a good man.
Whether from his studio chair or before the thousands who gathered to hear him speak, his faithful defense of truth led many souls to Your presence, where they now join our worship.
Though his voice was silenced far too soon by evil, we rest in Your sovereign care, knowing he has laid aside the sword of the Spirit for the crown of righteousness.
We thank You that the weight of earthly battle has lifted from him, replaced by eternal reward.
May he hear Your words, Lord: "Well done, good and faithful servant."
Let the harvest of his life continue bearing fruit:
Raise up others, O Lord, to carry forward his work in our churches and communities, and among the groups he felt so drawn to help.
Until we too rise in glory, teach us to live as he lived:
With our eyes fixed on Jesus, walking in faith, loving You with all our hearts.
And we pray that Your peace that passes understanding will fill our hearts.
Show us how to use our deep grief to draw others to Your saving grace, as we know it is what he would have wanted.
We thank You that in the moment he left us here, he took his first breath in Your eternal presence.
We find peace knowing that Your everlasting arms now embrace Your gentle child, our beloved Charlie.
In the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,
Amen.
