Total number of rotten fruits = x

Number of rotten Guava = 45

Number of rotten apple = x * 30/100 = 3x/10

Number of rotten Banana = 22/100 * x = 11x/50

Number of rotten Orange = 18/100 * x = 9x/50

Number of rotten Mango = x * 12/100 = 6x/50

3x/10 + 11x/50 + 9x/50 + 6x/50 + 45 = x

15x + 11x + 9x + 6x + 2250 = 50x

9x = 2250

x = 250

Number of rotten apple = 250 * 30/100 = 75

Number of rotten Banana = 22/100 * 250 = 55

Number of rotten Orange = 18/100 * 250 = 45

Number of rotten Mango = 250 * 12/100 = 30

Total number of good fruits = 650 – 250 = 400

Number of good apple = 400 * 18/100 = 72

Number of good Banana = 1/5 * 400 = 80

Number of good Mango = 30/100 * 400 = 120

Number of good Orange = 22/100 * 400 = 88

Number of good Guava = 400 – 72 – 80 – 120 – 88 = 40

1) Answer: d)

Required percentage = 30/40 * 100 = 75%

2) Answer: d)

One dozen Mango = 80 * 120/100 = Rs.96

Total dozen of mango = 120/12 = 10 dozen

Total revenue = 10 * 96 = Rs.960

3) Answer: a)

Required ratio = (55 + 80):(45 + 40)

= 135:85

= 27:17

4) Answer: c)

Difference = 400 – 250 = 150

5) Answer: a)

Total cost of Good Apple = 72 * 10 = 720

Total cost of Good Orange = 88 * 8 = 704

Total cost of Good Guava = 40 * 5 = 200

Total revenue = 720 + 704 + 200 = 1624

1) Answer: c)

Expenditure of the company in 2016 = 54000 x 120/100 = Rs.64800

Income of the company in 2016 = 200000 x 80/100 = Rs.160000

Profit % = (160000 – 64800)/64800 x 100

= 95200/64800 x 100

= 146.91%

2) Answer: b)

Expenditure of the company in 2011 and 2013 together = 78000 + 75000 = Rs.153000

Income of the company in 2011 and 2013 together = 140000 + 160000 = Rs.300000

Required ratio = 153000: 300000

= 153: 300 =51: 100

3) Answer: a)

Profit earned by the company in 2010 = 120000 – 65000 = Rs.55000

Profit earned by the company in 2012 = 134000 – 84000 = Rs.50000

Required percentage = (55000 – 50000)/50000 x 100

= 5000/50000 x 100

= 10%

4) Answer: c)

Expenditure of the company in all the years together = 65000 + 78000 + 84000 + 75000 + 60000 + 54000

= Rs.416000

Income of the company in all the years together = 120000 + 140000 + 134000 + 160000 + 174000 + 200000

= Rs.928000

Required difference = 928000 – 416000

= Rs.512000

5) Answer: e)

Percent profit earned by the company in 2010 = (120000 – 65000)/65000 x 100

= 55000/65000 x 100

= 84.61%

= 85% (approx.)

Percent profit earned by the company in 2015 = (200000 – 54000)/54000 x 100

= 146000/54000 x 100

= 270.37%

= 270% (approx.)

Percent increase = (270 – 85)/85 x 100

= 185/85 x 100

= 217.64%

= 218% (approx.)

1) Answer: c)

The total number of girls passed the examination from College A in the year 2012 = 630

(42/100) * Total students passed from College A in the year 2012 = 630

Total students passed from College A = 630 * (100 / 42) = 1500

The total number of girls passed the examination from College B in the year 2015 = 660

(55/100) * Total students passed from College B in the year 2015 = 660

Total students passed from College B in the year 2015

= > 660 * (100 / 55) = 1200

Required ratio = 1500: 1200 = 5: 4

2) Answer: a)

Let the total number of students passed from College A in all the given years be x,

The total number of boys passed the examination from college A in the year 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 = 3248

(42 + 54 + 52 + 55) * (x/100) = 3248

x = 3248 * (100/203) = 1600

The average number of girls passed the examination from college A in the year 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 together

= > (58 + 46 + 48 + 45) * (1600/100) * (1/4)

= > 788

3) Answer: d)

The total number of boys passed the examination from college B in the year 2013 = 528

(44/100) * Total students passed from college B in 2013 = 528

Total students passed from college B in 2013 = 528 * (100/44) = 1200

The total number of boys passed the examination from college B in the year 2016 = 658

(47/100) * Total students passed from college B in 2016 = 658

Total students passed from college B in 2016 = 658 * (100/47) = 1400

Required difference = 1400 – 1200 = 200

4) Answer: b)

The total number of students passed the examination from college A in the year 2013 = The total number of students passed the examination from college B in the year 2013 = x

Required ratio = [(46/100) * x] : [(44/100) * x]

= > 46 : 44

= > 23 : 22

5) Answer: a)

The total number of students passed from college A in the year 2017 = 1000

The total boys passed from college A in the year 2017

= > 1000 * (55/100) = 550

The total number of students passed from college B in the year 2017 = 1000

The total boys passed from college B in the year 2017

= > 1000 * (51/100) = 510

Required total = 550 + 510 = 1060
