Ten persons are sitting in two parallel rows with equi distance from each other and facing one person in a row to another person in another row. In row-1, A, B, C, D and E are sitting and they are facing south while in row-2, P, Q, R, S and T are sitting and they are facing north. They like different colours viz., Violet, Indigo, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, Red, Pink, White and Black but not necessary in the same order.

Only two persons are sitting between Q and the one who likes Black. The one who likes Green sits second to the left of the one who faces D and either of them sits at extreme ends of the rows. The one who likes Red sits immediate left of the person who faces R. R is not an immediate neighbour of the one who likes Green. Only two persons are sitting between the one who likes White and the one who likes Red. The one who likes Indigo sits second to the left of the person who faces A. Only one person sits between Q and the one who likes Indigo. Only one person sits between B and the one who likes Yellow. P faces the person who likes Yellow. The one who likes Pink faces the person who sits second to the right of T, who does not sit at any extreme ends of the row. As many persons sitting between T and the one who likes Violet is same as between E and the one who likes Orange. E does not like Pink. Q does not like Green.

1.Answer: (b)
Speed of car B on Monday= 224/16= 14 kmph

Speed of car B on Tuesday= 14*150/100= 21 kmph

Time taken by car B on Tuesday= 420/21= 20 hours

Required difference = 20- 16= 4 hours.

2.Answer: (d)
Let the speed of Car A be x

Car E = 2x

So,

Time taken by car A= 224/x

Time taken by car E= 352/2x

224/x тАУ 352/2x = 4

448 тАУ 352/2x= 4

96/2x= 4

8x= 96

x= 12 kmph

Speed of car E= 12*2= 24kmph

Distance travelled by car E in 20 hours = 24*20= 480 km.

3.Answer: (a)
Let the speed of the car C and F be 6x and 7x

Time taken by car C= 256/6x

Time taken by car F= 288/7x

Required ratio= 256/6x * 7x/288 = 28:27

4.Answer: (c)
Time taken on Tuesday= 15-8= 7 hours

Speed of car D on Monday= 160/8= 20 kmph

Speed of car D on Tuesday= 20*120/100= 24 kmph

So,

X / 24= 7

X = 168

Distance travelled on Tuesday = 24*7= 168 km

5.Answer: (c)
Let the speed of car E be 2x and car C be 3x

So,

352/2x + 256/3x = 16

1056+ 512/6x= 16

1568= 96x

x= 1568/96

x= 49/3

Speed of car C= 49*3/3= 49 kmph

Time taken by car C to travel 800= 931/49= 19 hours

1.Answer: b
Total mobiles exported by company D and F= 35000*2= 70000

Mobile exported by company D in 2014= 30/100* 35000= 10500

Mobile exported by company D in 2015= 10500/2= 5250

So,

Mobile exported by company F= 70000- 5250= 64750

Percentage of production exported by company F in 2015

= 64750/90000* 100

= 72%

2.Answer: b
Mobile exported by company E in 2015= 40000*70/100= 28000

Mobile exported by company E in 2014= 50000- 28000= 22000

Mobile exported by company E in 2016= 22000/11* 5= 10000

Number of mobiles produced by company E= 10000/80* 100= 12500

3. Answer: d

Total number of mobiles exported by company A in 2014 and 2015

= 40/100* 20000 + 60/100* 50000

= 8000 + 30000

= 38000

Mobile exported by company C in 2014 and 2015= 38000 *3/2= 57000

Mobile exported by company C in 2015

= 57000 тАУ (26000* 20/100)

= 51800

So,

Percentage of export by company C

= 51800/80000* 100

= 64.75 %

4.Answer: d
Number of defective mobile exported by B in 2014 = 45000*42/100* 20/100=3780

Number of defective mobile exported by company B in 2015= 3780/7* 5= 2700

Number of mobiles exported by company B= 2700/13.5 * 100= 20000

So,

Percentage of mobile exported by company B in 2015= 20000*100/30000= 66.66%

5.Answer: c
Mobile exported by A, B and D in 2014
