There are 8 family members - consisting of three generations – Anu, Binu, Cenu, Deenu, Fenu, Finu, Geenu, Henu – they go to a restaurant for a dinner and sit around a circular table facing towards the center. An interesting fact is their ages are distinct primes – 5, 17, 37, 41, 43, 47, 83, and 89 – not in this order. And all of them are wearing a different color – white, red, black, blue, green, yellow, orange and pink – not in this order.
Further details are;
1) There are 3 married couples, out of which 2 couples are sitting opposite to each other.
2) The person sitting three positions to the right of the one wearing black is her grandson and their ages are the smallest and the highest respectively.
3) Binu is not sitting opposite to her husband, who is not wearing yellow or red and is 4 years elder than her.
4) There are equal number of males and females but no male is wearing pink, white or orange.
5) Finu is sitting adjacent to his daughter and the one who is wearing blue. Also, finu is 6 years younger than his wife. Finu is 83 years old.
6) Deenu, who is wearing yellow, is sitting to the immediate right of his 6 year elder sister, who has a daughter wearing pink and a 47 year old husband.
7) Geenu’s immediate neighbors are Deenu and Henu. Also, Anu is not the mother of Cenu but her husband’s sister’s only son sits to the immediate right of her.
8) Binu is daughter of finu and Deenu is brother of Binu. Geenu and Fenu are not females. Henu is the eldest member of the family. Anu is married to Deenu.

8 व्‍यक्तियों के परिवार में तीन पीढ़‍ियां अर्थात् अनु, बिनु, चिनू, दीनू, फेनु, फिनू, गीनू, हीनू हैं – वे एक रेस्‍त्रां में डीनर के लिए गए और केन्‍द्र की ओर मुख करके एक वृत्‍ताकार मेज के चारों ओर बैठे हैं। एक दिलचस्प तथ्य यह है कि उनकीआयु अलग-अलग अभाज्‍य संख्‍याओं अर्थात् 5, 17, 37, 41, 43, 47, 83 और 89 में हैं लेकिन इसी क्रम में नहीं। और उन सभी ने विभिन्‍न रंगों अर्थात् सफेद, लाल, काला, नीला, हरा, पीला, नारंगी और गुलाबी रंग के कपड़े पहने हुए हैं – लेकिन इसी क्रम में नहीं।
आगे का विवरण निम्‍नानुसार है;
1) 3 विवाहित जोड़े हैं, जिनमें से 2 जोड़े एक-दूसरे के विपरीत बैठे हैं।
2) काले रंग के कपड़े पहने हुए व्यक्ति की दाईं ओर से तीसरे स्‍थान पर बैठा व्यक्ति उसका पोता है और उनकी आयु क्रमशः सबसे कम और अधिकतम है।
3) बिनू अपने पति जो पीले या लाल रंग के पकड़े नहीं पहना हुआ है और उससे 4 साल बड़ा है के विपरीत नहीं बैठी है।
4) पुरुषों और महिलाओं की संख्‍या समान है लेकिन कोई भी पुरुष गुलाबी, सफेद या नारंगी रंग के कपड़े नहीं पहनता है।
5) फिनू अपनी बेटी और नीले रंग के कपड़े पहने हुए व्यक्ति के बिलकुल पास में बैठा है। इसके अलावा, फिनू अपनी पत्नी से 6 साल छोटा है। फिनू की आयु 83 साल है|
6) दीनू, जो पीले रंग के कपड़े पहने हुए है, अपनी 6 साल बड़ी बहन जिसकी एक बेटी है जिसने गुलाबी रंग के कपड़े पहने हुए हैं और उसका पति 47 वर्ष का है की तत्काल दाईं ओर बैठा है।
7) गीनू के तत्काल पड़ोसी दीनू और हीनू हैं। इसके अलावा, अनु चीनू की मां नहीं है लेकिन उसके पति की बहन का एकमात्र पुत्र उसकी तत्काल दाईं ओर बैठता है।
8)बिनू फिनू की पुत्री है और दीनू बिन्नू का भाई है। गेनु और फेनू महिलाएं नहीं हैं। हेनू परिवार का सबसे बड़ा सदस्य है। अनुू की शादी डीनु से हुई है।
