დღევანდელ ღონისძიებაზე პარლამენტარებმა მიიწვიეს იულიუსის კალენდრით აღდგომის აღმვნიშნელი მართლმადიდებელი და ორიენტალური მართლმადიდებელი ეკლესიების მღვდელმთავარნი და სამღვდლო პირნი.
მიწვეულნი იყვნენ სერბული, ბერძნული, ქართული, რუმინული, უკრაინული, რუსული, კოპტური, ეთიოპიური, ანტიოქიური, გრეგორიანული, სომხური ეკლესიების წარმომადგენლები.
ამ წელს ღონისძიების ორგანიზება ითავეს სერბულმა და კოპტურმა ეკლესიებმა.
მადლობა გადაეხადა ყველა იმ პარლამენტის წევრს და მუშაკს ვინც ეს კანონი გაიტანა და დაამტკიცებინა, ასევე ყველა ეკლესიის წარმომადგენლებს ვინც იშრომეს ამ კანონის შედგენასა და დახვეწაში.

Another Milestone for Orthodox Christianity in Ontario!
Today, a significant step was taken toward the recognition of Orthodox Christianity in the Ontario Parliament. In celebration of Orthodox Easter Week, Members of Parliament invited hierarchs and clergy from Orthodox and Oriental Orthodox Churches that celebrate Easter according to the Julian calendar.
Representatives from the Serbian, Greek, Georgian, Romanian, Ukrainian, Russian, Coptic, Antiochian, Ethiopian, Gregorian, and Armenian Churches were all in attendance.
This year, the event was co-hosted by the Serbian and Coptic Orthodox Churches. Gratitude was expressed to all Members of Parliament and staff who helped introduce and pass this important law, as well as to the church leaders who contributed to its drafting and refinement.
Special thanks to Tom Rakocevic for championing the legislation, and to Father John Marjanac, under whose leadership the recognition of Orthodox Easter Week became a reality for the first time in Ontario—and indeed, all of North America!
