#canadayear - week 35
This week we focused a lot on pruning trees and general maintenance. I also had fun running around with ailish.
On a more technical note, I joined a project with aims to create chatbots on social media platforms for people who are concerned that they might have Covid-19 or suffer with the psychological consequences of this crises. It is a very interesting environment, since there are quite some skilled programmers in there (like @d_Rickyy_b, who introduced me to this), who know what they are doing, unlike me. python-telegram-bot library, which I am actively maintaining and using for more then two years. I was able to learn a lot already :)I forgot to send update pictures on the little chickens and no one reminded me....
#canadayear - week 36
Good day everyone.
This week on the farm we enjoyed great spring weather. A lot of sun, not too hot temperatures. I did a fair amount of pruning (cutting branches which grow directly up from fruit trees, which are not going to grow fruit buns), a bit of weed whacking + lawn mowing, some digging and we did some work on the boat. We also put some signs up at the church, enabling people to kind of have something to do there without being too close to themselves.
On a more personal level, I worked actively on the development of the python-telegram-bot library, which had a 12.6 version release yesterday. I also continued to work on the Covid-19 project, where I got paid for my work. Someone paying me for coding has never happened before, I am pretty happy about this.
I also started listening to a podcast while working outside. It is called Minutenweise Matrix, literal translation would be Minute by minute, matrix (yeah, doesn't really work). The guys in there take one minute of the original Matrix movie and analyze it per episode. They also have guest speakers. One of my friends made an appearance there, but at the time he did this (and recommended the podcast to me), I was too busy otherwise. Now I have the time/situation (and patience) to listen to it and thoroughly enjoy it, its a great concept and a definite recommendation from me.
If you think you would enjoy this as well but are not speaking English, there is an English version called matrix minute. I haven't listened to it personally, but the German guys say it is pretty good, so I am just going to trust them and forward this to you all :)
I hope you all are staying safe and isolated and have something to do :)
