Btw, on an unrelated note, I am now an official developer for the python telegram bot library. I used this library for years, it feels a bit weird applying the python knowledge I got with it on it. But all the other devs are very nice, so thats going to be great :)

#canadayear - week 5
Saturday: I had to do the morning routine again, cause yannick isnt here to do it. We did some little projects, supporting tomatoes, that stuff.
Sunday: Yoko and I decided to go to Vicoria. We had a lot of fun there, the city is way nicer then vancouver. Sadly, an one hour bus ride from the ferry ia included. I definitly plan on coming back though.
In the evening, I was battling turkeys in the truck.
Monday: Public holiday, we didnt do much. I got myself into an old project of mine which looks promising, might release some infos to later.
Tuesday: Ellen and I took said truck in the morning at 6 to catch the early ferry. We brought the turkeys to the slaughterhouse and then had a nice day in Victoria, we bought some stuff for the boat
Wednesday: ellen and yoko went off to get the turkeys again, which meant for me that I had to do all the tasks, but also had a pretty free day, which I used to set up a working openvpn server for a friend. This didnt work out (the firewall there apparently is pretty well configured, so I will try a https tunnel next. If someone has more ideas, please hit me up.
Thursday: We set up a high pressure washer which didnt work. Then two people got themself some turkeys. And we had a pretty relaxed day, just doing some basic work
Friday: We did some preparing for the couple which will come this weekend and join us, then we went off sailing. After sailing, durinf the evening routine, I discovered that three chicken came out, so I went in the bushes and got them back in, which all leads to this late post.

#canadayear - week 6
It is very late here. Like half past ten. I really cant be bothered right now to list what we did every day. In retrospective, Amy and Xavier arrived, a very nice couple. We had quite some fun together, fixing roofs mostly. It rained quite a bit the last two days, otherwise I mostly did weed whacking and powerwashing trailers. Sounds like more fun then it is, at least after the fourth trailer. We also finally fixed the chicken fence so I dont have to catch chickens anymore which get out, so thats nice. Tomorrow will be a great day, there is a community project on the climate crises I really look forward to.
Whatever. I wish you all a good day and will just go to bed, CU around ;)

#canadayear - week 7
Saturday: We had a great day, put some garbage away and watched The Trotsky. We also went to a climate crisis workshop with the other people on pender, were I've heard some very interesting ideas.
Sunday: I run the terry appreciation run on pender. Which means 10 km, in under an hour. Not a good idea tbh. Xavier and Amy left us quite suddenly. This mixes up a lot of planes, I initially wanted to go to victoria this week and stay there for a bit, maybe team up with another work and traveler, or at least have a good look at the city, work a bit before I'd continue to maybe go into the island and find some farms there to be. But now, I will stay here a bit longer, at least until ellen founds another woofer. Maybe means though that we can go sailing a couple of times. And Ellen's plans about fixing roofes and stuff got thrown over as well. Welp. But we had a nice family dinner, eating a big chicken they raised last year.
Monday: Ellen went to the dump on victoria, so I had a pretty relaxed day with rob after I put some trash in her truck. A friend of them, freddy, joined us later on :D
Tuesday: Ellen arrived yesterday with the truck full of groceries. We spend the day getting those into their designated places.
Wednesday: Connor, the grandson of ellen, visited us. We had some fun together with their chickens and finding holes in their fence where they kept getting out.
Thursday: When feeding chickens, I discovered that there are no food bags left. Amy must've opened the last one and didnt tell us. Anyway, we have to go to Victoria tomorrow and get new ones, and will just drop some dump off on our way there.
Friday: I woke up with a bit of a cold, nevertheless, we went to Victoria to get chicken food and put some stuff in the dump. Mainly a matress, which was hard to get in and hard to get out. On the upside, we got amazing sandwiches :D
After doing the evening routine, we ate pasta with hot rum toddy, which ia a great medicine💪
