Here are some interesting facts about Chinese New Year traditions and celebrations. Which one did you like best in the comments?
❄️ The origin of the festival is the exorcism of a monster called Nyan. Legend has it that Nyan used to spoil crops and cause various inconveniences to people. It was believed that if you put something tasty on your doorstep, the Nyan would get fed up and settle down.
❄️The Chinese use the colour red to decorate houses for the New Year. Paper lanterns are especially popular. It is believed that the Nyan is afraid of red. Red is also the colour of prosperity and good luck.
❄️Traditionally, people in China decorate a mandarin tree and place it by the front door. It is believed to bring good luck and wealth.

*The British analytical agency Times Higher Education (THE) published a global ranking of international universities — The most international universities in the world 2023. This year it included 197 universities with the best internationalization indicators.

Individual exam(s) results in all subject areas can be found in the participants' personal accounts on the Olympiad website.
Points displayed only score stage 2 exam(s). The final score is calculated based on the integrated scoring of stages 1 and 2. This calculation will be done during the next few days. The lists of winners and prize-winners of the master's track and the participants of stage 3 in the doctoral track will be published in the participants' personal accounts and in each subject section on the Olympiad website on February 10.
