it's because my brain is wired to prioritize the obscure and the conspiratorial. It's like I have a built-in filter that blocks out all the mundane details of everyday life and only lets in the really juicy, paranoia-inducing stuff. And yes, i dear question why am i the last to know about the office birthday party, the last to know of the two power couples being siblings, and the last one to hear about my favorite chips being out of stocks today!!?
