¹ Casey C. Mannes (@cooperlost) captured this image while in the Amazon rainforest. She recalls that learning about the jaguar in the image: “This jaguar was saved from the illegal wildlife trade. His mother was killed by poachers and he was meant to be sold but was luckily intercepted where he’s being rehabilitated. He will eventually be free again to roam where he belongs–in the jungle. His eyes tell a story. I was grateful to be able to see him roaming in his natural habitat.” (Earth by ASM Channels)
