GitHub really screwed us with this one.
Since June 30, they've heavily restricted access to public repository metadata (especially stargazer history) under the excuse of stopping scrapers. Now you can't properly compare star growth between similar projects unless you own them or use workarounds like sealed tokens.
This is a real blow to open source transparency and healthy competition. Tools like star-history.com were fantastic for seeing which projects are actually gaining momentum.
My project was affected as well.

New soft-root tools dropped !
Two interesting projects using the same public kernel vuln (GhostLock) for temporary root (no bootloader unlock):
- Root My Galaxy (Samsung)
- Root My Pixel (Pixel devices)
- Root My OnePlus
- Root My Nothing
Both give temporary KernelSU / ReSukiSU root on supported firmware. Root is lost after reboot and only works on specific builds for now.
Worth keeping an eye on if you’re on a supported device.

Just a quick heads-up for anyone testing:
There’s a simple GhostLock detector app.
If the app finishes and says safe, you’re patched.
If it says vulnerable (or your phone reboots/freezes), your kernel is still affected.
Some devices just show the vulnerable result without crashing, others reboot. Either way means the soft-root tools above can probably work on your build if it’s supported.

Pixel Gboard features unlocked
Just found this solid repo: Gboard-patches
It’s a Morphe source that lets you patch official Gboard to unlock a bunch of Pixel-exclusive / gated features plus some really practical upgrades:
You can install the patched version alongside stock Gboard (Package Rename) or replace it.
Note: for some of the AI tools to actually work you need to import the libs from the bundled Gboard APK into the normal one.
Pretty clean and useful if you want those Pixel Gboard goodies on any device.
