$SLV new highs @ $74.81 Precious metals are a good hedge for the narrative of the Fed losing its independence. Right for the wrong reasons here 😛
$SLV @ $80.6 now, +19% from entry.
All silver-related positions are in profit.
$AG @ $20.3 +18%
$USAS @ $6.07 +4%
I think silver has more gas, but I closed $SLV & $USAS, and am consolidating into $AG.

Intel expected to begin shipping Apple’s lowest-end M processor as early as 2027 Consider OP to be reliable on Apple supply chain info. If true, it’s an upside to my base expectations. I thought the first 18AP customer, if any, would be a low-end high volume…
Intel on the move after a possible slip of the tongue by Trump revealing Apple's investment in Intel. Would be great to get official confirmation on this - until then it remains yet another rumor in a headline-driven stock.
Another possibility is the CPU shortage narrative that is surfacing, but I am leaning towards the former given that $AMD / $ARM arent reacting much yet.
To recap - those who have been around here for awhile knows INTC is one of my highest conviction picks for H2'25 and CY26+. First added @ $22, and have continued to add to the position around $29-$38.

I’m hopeful (faith is inversely correlated with the # of times that OAI/ORCL appears in headlines) that the $MU print can be the catalyst that shifts market sentiment about AI. MS and many others are already drawing parallels between Micron’s surprise beat…
$MU big bang quarter brought the key question for memory stocks into the spotlight, and Jensen’s recent CES speech answered it:
1) memory and storage becoming the primary bottlenecks
2) introducing ICMSP
3) calling out the massive NAND requirement for ballooning context and agentic tasks
Guess that was the catalyst for the market’s current rerating of $MU and $SNDK from cyclical players of the past to critical components of the AI infrastructure machine, with growth now expected to scale alongside token consumption in the future. The timeline couldn’t have been better

Can’t recall a time when market dispersion was this high with so many quality candidates on both the long and short sides driven by clear structural tailwinds / headwinds.
Is this how trading the Dot-Com bubble felt like? Wild times.. though crowding risk is a top consideration

First insider buy - pretty sizeable one too - on $MU since 2022, up at these levels. No prize for guessing what signals they’re trying to send. If the market won’t rerate my stock I’ll do it myself

Trimmed some $SNDK @ $336 and added to $LITE long @ $372 Also added to $ALAB short @ $158 and $CRDO short @ $132 CPO is here, but copper interconnect/electrical switches companies are still trading at 40-60x fwd p/e https://www.globenewswire.com/news-r…
Getting squeezed on $ALAB / $CRDO shorts, but not too flustered yet. $ALAB avg short entry $170, $CRDO $145. $ALAB in particular seems like a good oppy to avg up short entry price

Also added other shorts recently:
$WIX @ $94
$COUR @ $7.12
$UPWK @ $19.8
$INTU @ $568
$SHOP @ $156 (largest short currently)
Dilemma between wanting to start trimming some of these to reduce risk of a crowded short squeeze, yet on the other hand i think many of these SaaS co. should actually be a zero in today's context

Entered $FIVE short @ $202 yesterday. Old nemesis, but in all seriousness think its a weak business model and a great hedge for tariffs (if that headline returns)
Also shorted $DJT @ $13.85, view it as a hedge for well... DJT in the midterms. Not a big position as its very speculative
Overall shorts have done well YTD, with the exception of $IREN $CRDO $ALAB. As mentioned previously the dispersion in the market is really high now and hence great for picking winners and losers. Though the upcoming earnings season should dictate whether this high dispersion environment continues. Proofpoints for longs and shorts will be important

This is basically what I meant above. I’ve played around with Claude Code over the weekends and even at my beginner level, it’s already clear what it can do. Feels the closest to AGI, though in a small niche, as we have gotten. You’re now only limited by…
On Jan 5, we mentioned that there would be an inevitable repricing on the long and short side over the next few weeks, driven by "Claude Code moment".
To reflect that with a chart, $SNDK is now the first doubler of the year, while many SW names are down HDD%. All within 3 short weeks. Our high-conviction longs (INTC, SNDK, BE, MU) have done well, along with our shorts (SaaS and Hardware).
I was however wrong on the adtech basket being a long hedge to SaaS, as that too was thrown out with the bathwater as all software names were sold off. $U and $APP drawdown in particular may be related to Liftoff's IPO, rather than the SaaS meltdown.
I am worried about crowding now tho. When dispersion is so high, there's a risk of mean reversion from both sides. However, from the fundamentals pov, I think our high-conviction longs have more room. So sizing and risk control will be important here. Goal is to survive ST volatility/drawdowns so that we remain well-positioned to capitalize on the structural LT trend.

FYI $INTC is reporting 2 weeks ahead of their typical earnings schedule — quite a noteworthy shift. Rumors suggest an impending capital raise.
If true, how will that be interpreted by the market? Capital raise = dilution = bad? Or raise = 14A is on = customers secured = good?

Out of $INTC from $43.8 to $51 - ugly print no two ways about it. While they’re likely sandbagging their guide/commentary, mgmt just can’t sell a narrative. Stock also carries a Trump association risk, which I think increases going into midterms. Probably better to express the INTC/foundry view through semicaps, and you can even get higher beta despite diversification.
Net ~55% gain on the name, not too shabby but probably too high an oppy cost. I’m never married to a stock, if the thesis changes I’m out.

Closed all $PSTG short @ $70.7 Re-entered $DELL short @ $134. Mgmt can try and talk up the stock but just a matter of time imo
Have been building a long position in $PSTG around the $70 ish range. One of the most overlooked stocks for the memory trade imo- I misunderstood this name as well previously as a short but profited through luck.
Market probably perceives it as similar to commodity vendors like Dell/Netapp. But I think their DirectFlash IP will become extremely invaluable in a tight NAND supply scenario in increasing density & resilience through a software-first approach. And I think NAND demand is about to blow through the roof.
$MU just announced NAND capacity expansion in their SG fab today, slated to come online in 2028. Market is interestingly, rewarding the NAND players in light of the news, instead of punishing them. You can guess why
My memory picks are $SNDK (trimmed into print, will buy after print), $285A.JT, $PSTG

Started long positions in Agentic AI software, $NET $DOCN $DDOG $GTLB
Anyone who has spent time playing with Claude Code/Clawdbot this month comes to 2 conclusions: 1) Agentic (and useful) AI is finally here, and will likely accelerate from here into the mass market realm. 2) there is and will be infinite demand for compute.
Software has been beaten down so hard and so long, some names more undeservingly so than the others. And now there’s a high rate of change secular tailwind thats about to dawn on these names, all while positioning heavily leans towards the short side. As clean of a narrative as it gets

Last core earnings to watch for this week is $NET. I love the company; I think they're going to be very critical in the new AI-driven web as they are the gateway to 20% of ALL internet sites. The CEO's recent tweets also sound like it's going to be a blowout…
I was actually very interested in $NET at ~$200 last year. But valuation then was extremely high, and I concluded that the trade was too early and thus exited. Fast forward a few months, valuation has came down but it is still very high.
The thesis has however gotten more pristine and surprisingly simple to understand: Agentic AI is going to increase web traffic by 10x+, as agents relentlessly trudge along while you sleep. Now imagine Cloudflare as a tollbooth situated right in-front of a large % of global sites. Thats all.
The stock can grow into its valuation imo, but a key risk for me is that the founder is kinda.. not very keen on maximising monetisation potential. I still like the stock and setup is clean, but whether I hold it for long is ultimately dependent on whether the mgmt changes their mindset.

“Our near-line capacity is fully allocated through calendar year 2026, and we expect to begin accepting orders for the first half of calendar year 2027.”
“Multiple cloud customers are discussing their demand growth projections for calendar 28. Underscoring that supply assurance remains their highest priority.”
“Agentic AI relies on persistent access to large volumes of historic data to enable effective planning, reasoning and independent decision making.”
“We believe the stage is set for a sustained and meaningful increase in data generated and stored that will support inferencing, continuous training, and also maintain model integrity.”
Pushing up other memory/storage players too
- inference era is here, while we aren’t even done with training (Blackwell models aren’t even out yet)
- memory is the new bottleneck
