Yesterday, on March 18th, Nifty experienced two significant price actions:

1) Nifty broke the previous gap borders:
Gap borders typically act as strong support or resistance levels. However, when these borders are breached, it often leads to substantial movements because the market moves into uncharted territory.
This was evident in Nifty's intraday 5-minute chart, where it broke the gap border(21st & 24th Feb) and saw a strong move.

2) Nifty closed above the 20 EMA on the daily time frame chart:
A close above the sloping 20 Exponential Moving Average (EMA) is often seen as a bullish signal or a potential trend reversal from bearish to bullish.
Does this mean Nifty's trend has changed to bullish??

It’s too early to say. Although such price action is typically bullish, but there have been instances in the past where Nifty has shown similar price movements—closing above the 20 EMA—only for the trend to reverse afterward, resulting in fake breakouts.
